This had been bothering me for sometime now, is Lukas possibly the most effective close-in weapon against a titan?

The rule on his stasis bomb,if successful could possibly wipeout even an imperator titan?

I dunno about most effective had a bloodthirster rip apart a reaver titan, a warhound and a stormlord yesterday

Although for SW CC effectiveness, other than possibly a lord,tw,th,ss,sagaofthebear

Yes, if lucas dies then the titan has to take an I test. basically the titan dies if it rolls a 2+ as most are I1

Last Laugh is a roll off between the opposing players. If the controlling player (Of Lukas) gets higher or equal then every model in base-to-base contact is removed.
It does mean every model.
Walkers, Titan, Special characters etc
Even freindly models.

The Blood Claw squad and Lukas cannot be ignored at all? Void shields can still protect the titan even within the 'towering monstrosity' range, right? So is it possible for the titan to move away and let some other )possibly nearby units take out Lukas and his squad to avoid B2B?

If lukas gets in BtB and the titan squishes a guy (lukas) last laugh kicks in ... if the titan walks away than pwns lukas via shooting nothing happens ...

Titans are usually in the very back lines. If a single squad of Blood Claws has managed to get to the titan it is likely all of the fronlines are dead and nastier units are trying to kill the titan.
Also if he dies in shooting you still have to roll a dice for any friendlies in B2B.

Haha! true. If that blood claw squad managed to get that near the titan,something must have gone terribly wrong. Or they could have dropped via drop pod? I find this funny in a sick way since all my hardwork in making my scratchbuild titan and it could be wiped out the board via tiny model like Lukas

Thinking along these lines,I plan to sorround the titan with as much bodies as I can since it would be in the backline. Probably two power blobs of 40 IG with commissar and a priest, plus a supporting squad of hydras.

I had wondered if the motive for this was whether Lukas could kill your nice shiny titan.

Thanks guys for the ideas, at least I confirmed this particular rule is possible.

If you want this tactic to work then you have to do the following:
1: Get Lukas and his unit close enough to the Titan, possibly dropping them in.
2: Wade through the mass of troops or armour which any good Titan Princeps keeps round their legs to ward off exactly these types of attacks.
3: Hope that you don't get ID'ed by the Titan's attacks, even at WS2 you have a chance of getting squished.
4: Once you die, you have to win a roll-off against the enemy player, and it's not against Initiative value, it's just a standard roll-off.

Why try to avoid ID? It doesn't matter how he dies.

I do not know what the rules for titans are in close combat, but since lukas is not an IC you can just alocate the wound to him. If it is over str 8 or ecual he dies.
