I'm working on a conversion using a whirlwind turret from the current model.
I need to cut a whole in some plasticard to accommodate the turret and I was curious if anyone knew what size the opening should be? Is it the same size as a razorback turret hole ?

I believe so. Most of the marine tanks have a rhino at the core. If you have any leftover rhino bitz you should probably have a backhatch (the thing you glue on top) that has a big hole. That's the hole size you need.

Thanks for the info. Regrettably I don't have any spare rhino chassis, i've got a couple whirlwinds on order but I was trying to get a jumpstart on the conversion.

YES, it is the same size as the one on the Rhino. Also the same forward turret fitting for the land raider (either heavy bolters or assault cannons). It's a tad over 25mm (my rule is currently MIA and the closest I have to gauge size is a 25mm spade bit for my drill - it's for making 25mm holes in stuff). Maybe 26mm or so.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

Thank you for the follow up! That is exactly what I was looking for.

I can confirm Chromedog's estimation. Just cracked open the bits box and it's pretty much exactly 1" or 26mm.
