Ok guys ive been thinking should i either start dark eldar or space wolves i just sold my imperial guard so i got 300-350 in cash for a new army and after christmas i will have more money so i am here to ask you guys what should i pick

i want to do a assault heavy army but can shoot too

I'd say dark eldar, I've seen too many MEQ armies.

Go with Dark Eldar.

I'd go with DE, they aren't anywhere near as common, don't have bad fanfic level fluff, and look way cooler.

DE aren't as common ... its the FoTM now ... just for once lets base this on what the OP's playstyle is

Both armies can do what the OP said they wanted, assault heavy with some shooting. From there that's where everything else comes into play.
