Based on the true line of sight rules can you see through a drop pod to see a model behind it. Sorry if this has already been posted someplace else i did a search and didn't find it. Thanks again for your help.

Yes you can. TLOS is, if you can see it you can shoot it.

I had a Rhino get blasted by a Gauss Cannon through my Drop Pod.
Wasn't pretty.

Thanks for the help on this, cause i had people telling me it blocked line of sight cause you are to assume that the doors are closed and that you can't see through it.

Just ask them if the doors are closed, how does the on board storm bolter fire?

Also, refer them to page 69 Codex Space Marines under 'Fire Points and Access Points" where is says that once the pod has been deployed it is no longer a sealed environment and it counts as being open-topped.

And when all that fails (if it does) then have them look again at page 16 BRB and check the LOS.

The drop pod doors are a tricky subject. If they're glued closed, do you pretend they can still open? When they're open, can enemy models stand on top of them? Can they provide cover? etc

There's no good RAW interpretation for what to do with them. My biggest suggestion is to model drop pods without doors at all. But, if you do want them, I suggest you discuss with your opponent pre-game. And, if they insist the doors stay closed and block LOS, the Storm Bolter inside the drop pod definitely can't fire.

In the space marine codex it states that "Once the Drop Pod has landed, the hatches are blown", then also states "Once deployed the Drop Pod is no longer a sealed environment and is therefore counted as being open-topped" which further implies the doors are gone. In any case, the model should be treated as though the doors are non-existant and only the structure of the drop pod can provide cover.
