i've been thinking about a resistance army to fight with my Imperial taskforce. If you've read Gaunt's Ghosts one of the novels talks about the planet of Gereon and how the PDF and civilian forces there have formed a resistance movement to strike back at chaos. I though of using catachan/cadian and some other bitz to make them but I want an old equipment/undersuplied feel. Does anyone have any suggestions on what kits/models to use? Color scheme ideas would be welcome as well.

Take a look at Pig Iron models. They have "Kolony Militia" and "Kolony Feral" models which I think would be perfect for such a project. Especially if you mix in some GW headsand such you could have a pretty nice varied army.

An open mind is like a fortress with its gates unbarred and unguarded

I'd also check out some of the Necromunda gangs. You could make a nice rag tag force out of them. I'd also recommend the Colonel Shaeffer's Last Chancers set.

Gathering the Informations.

Now, wait.

Do you want a "resistance" army, as in the guys randomly running around blowing crap up and spraypainting walls to stick it to the man...

Or the resistance forces that would, like in "Armour of Contempt" act as pathfinders and guides for the liberation force?

Now, if it's the first one: It's not really an 'army'. Except in a circumstance like we saw at the end of "Traitor General", in which case they were all wearing scavenged PDF uniforms with an insignia of a robed figure bearing a sword in one hand and an aquila on the other.

Now, if it's the second one: You want to just use standard Cadians or whatever with a hardened veteran squad or two wearing really ragged and worn uniforms, battered armor with likely no helmet as it'd be too big of a give-away for guerilla operations, and they're usually doffed for softcaps or a very cut-down helmet.

The first kind. Resistance force sound better to you? I use army as a general term to refer to a fighting force in Warhammer.

I might just go 100% with the resistance force form Gereon, as they're the ones that inspired this army in the first place.
