Hi All,

I am pondering doing a Battle Report but not sure how best to get started. Played a bunch of games the last week in November and took a good number of pictures. I am thinking a story line with pictures to add flavor. here is a starter.

Mesopotamia. The Kingdom Where we Secretly Reign.

Well, you've got painted models on a decent looking table. I'm interested!

Good photos. To do a battle report you first list what each army each person is fielding, and then a photo of the initial deployment. Then you dictate each turn in a sequence like or similar to the following:
Turn One
My turn
Photos
His turn
Photos

Turn two...

Just follow that sequence until the end of the game, then add some sort of evaluation if you want, including some stuff such as what you expected to happen, odd things which did happen and what you would have done differently etc. Also it's good to add some fluff into the report as well, so your report could begin with something like this:

"Commander (X) stared out of the Rhino's hatch towards the horrific mass before him. Hundreds of banners showing allegience to Warboss (Y) were in full display..." etc etc.

Hope this advice helps

Well, the picture certainly makes me want to read a battle report. The armies look well painted and the terrain is cool. My only question is, "Why in the name of Gork and Mork would the KFF Big Mek be all by himself, out in the open like that!?! He basically has a bullseye painted on his forehead!!!! Anyway, would love to read the battle report.

Actually I play my Marines, (The Righteous), as Vanilla, using the Space MArine Codex.
I am still messing with my camera as their color either washes out with flase or greens up without one. The contrast of the main color, (Space Wolf Grey), and the blue highlight color don't stand out as much from certain angles.
please see accompanying pictures for example.

Or a powerful lamp. I personally use a magnifying lamp (as in it has a bendy lamp but instead of a normal bulb, it is a magnifying glass with a ring of LEDs around it) to do pictures for my Art homework (some Karl Blossfeldt inspire photos if anyone is interested). A powerful, constant white light is what you really want as you can adjust it to get the lighting just right then take a flash less picture. The colours should come up quite well, and don't forget, you can upload your photos to a photoshop like software and adjust the contrast. Dakka's gallery has a system somewhat like it but if you can learn how to fine tune your contrast you can really get pictures to turn up well.
