I got Dygmied in the Killbox for the first time this weekend. I never would have expected them to effectively take three Khador jacks out of the game in one turn while not under a feat. It was well done on his part though. I'm really not complaining about it because I see how I can counter it next time. Just round 3 of a tournament is a bad time for that baptism.

I voted for "dygmied" since I'll be taking some myself (although not building my list around them)

I gotta go with Dygmied. I know the li'l buggers are mean, and eMadrak makes them worse, but the last time they were applied to my army, they managed to only kill one MoW Shock and hurt a couple others, and he wasn't rolling all that poorly.

And the first (and last) time I got Karn'd, I watched that bastard waltz across the field and take Karchev from healthy to dead in three hits. Zaal's feat helped a lot on that one, but regardless... yowza.

I voted Dygmie as well, as they are much easier to stop than the Karn bullet.

Tyrant Watts got me last year at Adepticon.

So now I need to get Dygmied.

I prefer to me Karn'd...it generally takes more resources than the Dygmies at least from what I've seen.

This is a little story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job.
Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

Was that in midnite madness? I think he got me as well.

I remember getting Karn'd in the first couple minutes.
That sucked, but I hadn't faced Hordes before that game.

Effectively losing Beast 09, a Kodiak, and a Juggy to Dygmies left pVlad going "Uh damn. Maybe I don't want to be in this box." They weren't all killed in one go, but having one system left with a few boxes left isn't saying much. I bagged Mulg though so I claim a moral victory.

I haven't been Karn'ed since the release of the Hordes book (only the playtest) but I expect it will come soon with a couple new Skorne players at the store.

Pow 14s? Thats child's play . My original Gencon Hardcore list was built around this idea:

Burrowers pop up to ideally engage as many heavies as possible
2x Bouncers run to engage enemy heavies
eMadrak casts Blood Fury on Pyg Burrowers (extra die of damage)
Chronicler puts charge of the trolls on the burrowers (+2 to attack and damage rolls)
Fell Caller gives +2 to attack rolls on the Burrowers
Kriel Stone Elder gives Stone Strength to Burrowers
(Bonus) Pendrake gives Beast Lore to Burrowers for Boosted attack rolls

Each burrower has a charging boosted Mat 8 pow 11 weapon master attack (4 dice), followed up by a Pow 16 weapon master attack (3 dice). It only takes 3 or so burrowers to kill a heavy -- I've had the whole unit kill Molik Karn, a Bronze Back, and a Gladiator in one round.

It's deja vu all over again.
