~ first of all, i'm sorry if this thread is in the wrong board. ~
I was wondering lately, have people ever modelled 40k miniatures to look like superhero's or their enemy's?
I personally think it would be awesome if an HQ from dark eldar would look like the green goblin, or an sm captain would look like captain america.
So, does dakka have some pics of this? And what do you think would look awesome?

My friend who loves superheros and comics and what not has painted a full mob of boyz in superhero schemes. The best one though is some invisible dude (can't remember the actual name)...it's just a base.

I'll post pics as soon as I can guys, but I made a full Eldar army based on Iron Man suits: all of the colors are based on the Iron Man look from the cartoon series and action figures based off of the series. My wave serpent (only one built) looks like an Avengers Quinjet, my Avatar which is a work in progress is a fantasy dragon that is being converted into Fin Fang Foom, my Warlocks and Farseers are based off of Mandarin, Wraithguard are Hulkbuster armor, Wraithlords are Ultimo, Warp Spiders are Iron Spiderman from Civil War, and my Howling Banshee (only one) is Deadpool (his non-stop yapping and quick movement makes him ideal, and he is the first non-iron man type character). There are plenty more, I just didn't want to list it all. But yes, the super hero theme runs strong in my army. I refuse to play it unless all models are done. Needless to say, it hasn't seen much use....

Let's not forget Tony StORK (by Ben Zagami):
Can't find the Ork Superman (or Ork Smurfs, Ork Simpsons or Ork Obelix Stompa right now).
Captain AmerOrk link here: http://www.deathsquadsgame.com/painting-modeling-f8/kaptain-amerorka-t1398.htm
And does Star Wars count?

Bonus pic because I just found it during the search:
