So, in the Codex it says that for every 10 orks in a squad, one may replace their gun for a rokkit or big shoota.

My question is, does that rokkit or big shoota boy count as one of the 10 orks, allowing another ork to take the other special weapon?

In other words, could I have a 10 boy mob, where 8 of the boyz have shootas, one has a rokkit and one has a big shoota?

Mostly I'm askin' cause the rule doesn't say 'for every 10 slugga or shoota boyz in the mob'.

No, you cannot.

You have 10 orks, one can now carry a special weapon. You still have 10 orks, so you are only allowed 1 weapon.

One of the ten may take a single special weapon
10 boyz = 1 rokkit OR 1 Big Shoota
20 boyz = 2 Rokkits, OR 2 Big Shootas or 1 of each.
30 boyz = 3 rokkits, or 3 Big Shootas, or 2of 1 and 1 of the other.

the nob counts toward the number needed to have a special weapon.

The nob, also being a member of the squad, can have the Big shoota or Rokkit launcha instead.

A Nob with PK, BP, and Big Shoota is perfectly fine(so long as there are 9 other Orks in the mob); but that does count as 1 of your weapon upgrades. So a 10 Boy Mob with a Nob as above would not have a second Big Shoota in it.

Alright, that's what I thought. Just wondering if there was a 'loophole' or something in the wording, since I've got 10 boyz, one with a rokkit and one with a big shoota.

was wondering if it might've been like the Big Mek's "replace choppa" "replace slugga" stuff, where you could potentially get an HQ wiff 2 PKs, something that everybody 'knew' but nobody realized, or just didn't use.
