I just sold some Awesomely Painted Killa Kans...the ones in my Gallery! I got talked down to $95 after it was at a higher price.....I just needed the cash...Now....looking at them and how Beautiful they are...how much I LOVED the dead Tau Bits I added from my last army before I threw away the Tau for Orks...How Nicely they looked compared to everything else I did...I now REALLY do not want to sell them...but alas I must! Plus he promised that he would use them to kick in Space Cow Teeff so I am glad!

...what gets me is I never had the chance to field them yet lol.

Anyone else sell some army stuff and get the sellers remorse?

O man yes, all the time. I sell something, most recently some tyranids, to earn some money for school, and then regret it quickly thereafter, telling myself I could have just not spent my incoming paychecks on new 40k and fantasy armies!

I sold a relatively large Tau BFG fleet (FW models) to a buddy of mine. Most were only primed white with one or two painted rather poorly (first models EVAR!). He turned them around and painted them up beautifully and proceeded to kick my ass in games of Full Thrust...yeah, I got some sellers remorse from that.

I almost never regret buying 40k, I almost always regret selling it. Maybe that is why I has way too much of it.

Everything i had in 4th edition.

I sold all of it excepting an 1850 tournament 'nilla SM list.

What I sold off:
roughly 2000 points of nids; 9 warriors, 2 tyrants, dozens of guants, and gants, 3 dozen Stealers

A full chapter's worth of marines, unassembled, 2 Godhammer landraiders, 2 LS Tornadoes(Ass-can and HB), a typhoon, a few Rhinos

Assorted eldar and Bits including an old Armorcast Phantom Titan, and a really old Falcon(plus a fireprism Bits pack)

3000 points in tau; 12 battlesuits, 2 devil fish, 2 Hammer heads, full squad of "classic" metal stealth suits

Over 100 guard infantry models, 2 leman Russes, 3 Chimeras, and a Basilisk.

The guard and marines(Which included 1500 points of Space wolves as well) are the ones that really hurt. I had bought the Army box of guard(the old $200 box set that came with the codex and a limited edition Figure) and since the re-release of guard in 5th i really could have used all those guard models(especially since money is tighter now and I am trying to do an infantry guard list). i could also really use all those old marines/SW; I am restarting my SW army and the rhinos i had would be usefull for the razors I need for my Wolves, along with all the wolf marines/ unassembled marines I could add wolf bits to.

Worst part is i sold all of that for only a few hundred dollars in New In box Warmachine models for my girlfriend at the time. I now have nothing to show for that and don't even play warmachine anymore. I sold it all for so little because i had rage-quit 40k due to 4th editions stupid rules-interactions. Since 5th is so much better i threw myself back into it.

This is my Rulebook. There are many Like it, but this one is mine. Without me, my rulebook is useless. Without my rulebook, I am useless.

Really wish i never sold my Chaos army.... They where my first army, and i got bored playing them, i changed lists to often, and never decided on a paint scheme, but a couple of months later, i really wanted to play Chaos again

And haven't been able to settle down on one army since really....

I had sellers remorse when i sold my old nids to my brother because of a rather disheartening tabling i got from the old CSM 3rd codex. soon after that they got a new (way more balanced) codex and i was like >_<
Then i saw the horrid paint job my older brother did and i was like >_< all over again.
Oh well, hope he enjoys that carnifex with the new codex LOL

Well, I've got losers remorse - and by that, I mean I lost a load of models.

I used to collect WH40K many years ago and between myself and my brother, we had tonnes of Eldar and Blood Angels and plenty of Orks and Tyranids. Even a few Dwarves from WHFB.

Now, I come to pick up the hobby 15 or 16 years later and how many of those old models can I find? An Ork Wierdboy and a Stormboy with one arm, a Howling Banshee, Gotrek and a regular old dwarf holding a spear.

I have no idea at all where the rest went but it does make me kind of sick to think about all those figures that would have cost so much. Part of the reason I'm now collecting Grey Knights - I just couldn't face going back to an army that I've already spent hours painting up XD

Sold my empire army for $500 right before it got REALLY good in 8th edition, and sold my Chaos Warriors then started buying them back piecemeal. Won't ever sell the marines or Chaos Daemons though!

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

I've only ever sold un-painted armies that I didn't enjoy playing. So, no real remorse there.

Ive bought and sold so many minis is crazy. Problem is I have ADD and a terribly short attention span. By the time I finish a unit or two Im already looking at the next thing.

Whats even worse is eventually I come back to the same stuff again.

Ive found that storing away the old armies keeps me from getting tired of seeing them sit on a shelf doing nothing, which is what makes me sell them. Out of sight, out of mind until i get the itch again.

Whats my game?

No real sellers remorse, as I never sell any minis unless I really want to.

However, like ColdSadHungry,I did experience "Losers remorse" in a big way.
When Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans and the Gulf Coast,I lost a total of 4 armies.
My 3rd ed Dark Eldar,my first Death Guard force,my first Ork army and about 2000 points in Space Marines that I had picked up for a ridiculously low price due to their terrible paint job that I planned to clean and resell, were all lost.

For some time afterwards,I was hesitant to even begin another army,or even to get involved with 40k again, however,I have since rebuilt both my Orks and my Death Guard , have started on a Praetorian IG force, helped my son build a small Space Marine army and am eyeing the new Dark Eldar minis as well.
