You have three guys that can take out high AV tanks, but they have to deepstrike, and then hit, and then pen, and then roll well on the damage chart.

The Baals are great for taking out transports, and I love the whirlwind, especially against gene stealers, but they don't need storm bolters, they should be hiding.

180 points for the three melta shots could be used in much better ways in my opinion. Possibly go for melta sternguard in a pod? They will kill something big first turn at least.

I think you're missing priests that you need to attack to your sniper scouts.

What turret weapon do the Baals have?

i dont find this list that scary to be honest, i could think of a few 1500 amries that would have this army seriously on the back foot by turn 3

Me2 like my dark eldar 25 darklight weapons and a million splinter shots

Those whirlwinds need to go and take predators instead and those scouts doesnt do much to this list.

This must be one of the worst competitive lists there is.....


You have 6 tanks yourself, but none of them are that good at killing tanks (Baals can, but i think all those shots are much better against infantry aren't they?)
and then 40 scouts? I don't think i've seen anyone claim just having Scouts as troops as competitive?

Whats Tycho doing? Not going with scouts surely?


This list would be fun against Horde, but against most armies, i don't think would work well at all.. :(

this would be a decent vanilla maries list at best my own blood angels list would rip this apart your not using the full potential of the blood angels if you want a list like this then go play reaguler maries

Lol, ok I'll admit that at first I was just joking, but after writing the list out, I actually realized it could come out to be a very different BA list out there, and very resilient with synergy.

To make it a 'better' list, drop one of the techmarines, replace with 3 priests for the scout squads, and maybe equipthe scouts differently. Techmarines have bolster defense, plus camo cloaks on the scouts who have FnP? Not bad...

I'd also drop the combi meltas on the techmarines, hide them behind my tanks and just repair, and they can jump around tank to tank with their Jump packs.

Drop the whirlwinds and replace with preds with side-sponson lascannons, since I have enough Anti-infanty. and maybe replace Tycho with a Captain or Librarian for psyker defense...

How about that?

Nope. The points were for 3 priests. I have made a clarifying edit. Perhaps if you played BA, knew the point costs, etc., you could be helpful to others on the topic?

the idea is good for the second list but you cant use feel no pain with a failed cover or envy save its only armor saves, but your very right is a difrent BA list id say givr it a shot then tell us the resolts id like to see how it worked

@kmg - I thought you always get FnP unless its ID, AP 1 or 2 or PW? so you would get if for failed cover saves.

I do play BA, your list was just a little confusing at first but I see how you wrote it out. As far as your list goes, it looks solid, just that predators would seem to fair better against Dev's because they are more mobile and aren't prone to loosing turns of shooting when they move. Also, being fast they can be last ditch efforts to contest objectives and don't have to watch out as much for outflankers or infiltrators as much as devastators do. Also, the techmarines in your list are 'sucicide meltas', instead you could have them using their full potential by repairing tanks if you included some. In an all-infantry list you would probably be better off with more bodies.

i would say no just becouse you dont get it for a failed envy but i would check to see if you can still take it with cover

Nothing wrong with predators, heck I own six, but I dont think that they belong in an otherwise all infantry army. There are no vehicles in the list because I believe in armor saturation.
