Okay, so a while back (summer hols) I saw an advert for a free online FPS game called combat arms. I downloaded it (took over 2 hours and 1 gb) but finally it finished. I love it!

Ask a mod to move this to the Game forum. Youll get more responses there. Itd be a bit like asking how to play said unit from Warhammer fantasy in a 40k forum.

I had it downloaded and played it for a bit. It got very boring very fast, however. Every map and every game is the same thing: who ever rushes into the other teams spawn first, wins.

I know it's free and I can't expect much, but the whole "spawn camp = victory" thing got old after Battlefield: 1942.

meh. I barely ever venture into enemy territor, and I get along swimmingly.

Its boring and full of hackers. I stopped playing after the closed beta.

yeah, hackers are very annoying. I like to go on pistol and melee only map, and there are so many aimbot/knife speed hackers. I either kick them and report them or just report them. What I really get ed of about is when either the other team refuses to kick him/her or votes "no".

The biggest problem for this game is that the player base is so damn whiny. Oh, you used a shotgun? BAN! Oh, you used a LAW? BAN! Oh, you used a semi-auto sniper rifle? BAN! Oh, you used an anaconda? BAN!

Because how DARE you use anything other than an SMG or Assault Rifle!

I personally find LAWs annoying, but I never ban them. I have:
SG (M590 military)
AR (M416)
SMG (Skorpion), soon to get PP-19 MOD
anaconda
so I'mm guilty of most of them. Just because they're good doesn't make you a noob.

I use a shotgun, anaconda, and semi-auto sniper rifle usually.

People in Combat Arms suck. As in they suck at being people, they whine and ban for no real reason.

Not saying all of them do, just most of htem from my experience. Being banned because I used a shotgun when the lobby didn't specifically disclude shotguns is annoying as all hell.

I forgot my rank. Was mid-high level, as I had most of the weapons, or at least access to them to be more accurate. But I didn't spend a dime on th game (I refuse to play the micropayment MMO system that they use).

My rank was reset after each beta, but I am a SSG now I think. Was higher in the beta, and nobody banned for ANYTHING.
