This Battle Report, (and the one to follow), covers what should be recognized, and very deservingly so, as a tribute to the 4th Company of Space Marines of The Righteous Chapter.

The Korsk sector of Terlaken has dealt with Ork invasions for many years and often the Marines of the Righteous Chapter have been called upon to drive them off. Over the years several companies of the Righteous have answered the call, but this occasion was different. The 4th Company received what was thought to be just another mission to drive off the Orks, not so, as their war host was not leaving so readily this time. Objective, Pumping Platform!

War Boss Nofzod Grot-squasha and his boyz had occupied an old pumping station and seemed to be making themselves very much at home. Captain Damokles of 4th Company called upon some preliminary bombing prior to committing close to half his company to removing the Orks from the station.
This was a great struggle as the Orks were as dedicated to holding the position as the Marines were to recapture it. In the end, and in the last minutes, the attempt by the Assault Marines came up short. The fighting was brutal but the counter attack by the orks at the Platform drove off the Marines.

Nice report and I like your terrain. It beats the paper towels forests and boxes for impassable I've been using.

There's al;ways something terrifying about facing Orks... so many matches can just end in being utterly overwhelmed by the Green tide. Nicely painted stuff!
