As far a squadrons on LR and Carnifexes go do you have to kill the whole unit for a kill point or is each tank/MC worth a KP?

I'd say the whole unit. Normally tanks etc are seperate entities, but as you purchase them as a "squadron", that squadron = 1 killpoint.
Its the same for killa kanz as well IIRC.

Each unit destroyed is worth 1 KP.
So if you have say... 3 Leman Russ and only 2 die, no KP. If all three are destroyed, yay! KP!
Although its harder to gain a KP from units like this, it is also harder to contest multiple objectives, or decimate multiple units. 3 LR can fire at 3 different targets, but a unit of 3 must fire at the same target. Additionaly if i say... park up my fire dragons and score 3 pens, thats a pen on each tank, from one unit of dragons (sqaudren, not always good)... Its give and take and could come back to bite you in the butt.

Read P3 for the definition of a unit. This is crucial to interpreting lots of rules, not just killpoints.

Wow... thats dumb. lol
Sorry but the pros for taking a squad of LR or MC far outweigh the cons in a KP mission.
But thats neither here nor there, Ill save that one for another thread.
Thank you all for the info

THe cons are huge. 1/6th increase in chance of being destroyed by any glancing or penetrating hit, can only shoot a single target, etc.

Can have multiple vehicles destroyed by an attack that would otherwise only kill one.

Squadrons are some good some bad kind of situation.
I like squeezing in a lot more units then you could without them, but thats just me.
