All my dark eldar infantry bases have a horrible mold 'divot' out of each one. I know it's moaning and i can cover it up with sand/basing material but should i ask for new ones? I notice that alot of DE pm blogs feature warriors and wyches with pristine bases so do i have a basis for a complaint? Basically i can cope but the extra bases would be useful for scratch builds. Seeing as GW are now so stingy with bases it seems a bloody cheek that the ones supplied are sub par.

If it bothers you that much I would just call GW and see if they'll replace them. It can't hurt.

I know how you feel. It can be disparaging when you purchase something from GW and you find a major flaw or missing piece. One of the great things about the company however is their incredible customer service; if you reach out to them through e-mail or telephone, they have absolutely no problem sending you replacement items -- usually more than you asked for!

They always replace stuff. I bought a two year old box of demons on ebay and they didn't have the right bases and GW replaced them. It may be pricey, but they do try and make it right.

I once got a whole new Settra model all because I was missing a tiny cloak.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

I have nothing but good to say about their customer service. Once I had a malformed piece for a Land Raider and they sent me a full kit to replace it. Another time my nephew had a broken gun that was missing a very small piece and they sent me a full Necron Destroyer.
