I really like the sound of Feral Orks. Unfortunately, they are no longer legal, though I would still like to see the rules for them.

I also think it would be nice if they gave them rules again. They should have rules in the next Ork codex for sure. Technically they could have their own codex based on the differences if Space Marines are anything to go by, but they aren't marines so they probably wont get one.

They just had +1 BS on account of being hunters, which I think was kind of stupid since feral Orks would be worse shots if anything. They also had Squiggoths and such, which you can get out of Forgeworld rulebooks.

I don't see anything wrong with modelling them and just using the standard Ork codex.

You could have Boar riders instead of Warbikers for example. Squiggoth instead of a Trukk.

Apologies for talking positively about games I enjoy.

I sincerely hope they put squiggoths back in for the next ork codex. well i cant say they were really in the offical codex but chapter approved is close. anyways, considering the giant plastic kits they have made (and similar kits like the lizardmen stegadon) it shouldn't be hard to produce a squiggoth model although i can certainly see them removing the three statlines in favour of the two forgeworld had.

S'all fun and games until some no life troll master debates all over your space manz & ruins it for you

Take boyz with bows (counts as shootas), shaman with an idol (counts as KFF), big squigs (counts as Kans).

Problem solved!

I am reviving this, as I used to play Feral Orks waaaay back.
The reason they were better shots was because they were smaller and forced to hunt, having to use guns to do so, the bigger ones (Brutes, Nobs) were BS 2, cause they didn't hunt, they got smaller ones to do it for them.
Feral Orks were one of my favorites because of the hilarity they had and character, I am gonna rebuild them again, nothing in that army (except squigs I guess) is too strange to cross over to the normal orks
