I recently went to my local gaming store and tryed out a 750pts list similar to this, I have to say I played 2 games and lost both(forgot alot of rules which could have played big outcome in my favor of course my fault ) anyways I decide Ill be havin a go with 800pts this time just to add little bit more to deal with then my last game and since Ive finally finished reading the rules should be less me forgetting stuff . Also since I started playing TT for the fluffy goodness and all im nor really gonna be aiming for competitive list( not to say I want to lose all the time!) too much. more something along the line that is fun, fluffy and wont be utterly and embarrassing destroyed, lets say has a chance to pull a win.
HQ- Wolf Lord - 250pts
Thunderwolf Mount
Frost Weapon/ SS
Melta Bombs
Wolftooth Necklace
Saga of the Warrior Born
Troops- Blood Claws Pack - 275pts
5x Blood Claws w/ Lukas the Trickster in rhino
Troops- Grey Hunters Pack - 145pts
5x Grey Hunters w/Power weapon, Meltagun and Mark of Wulfen in rhino
Troops- Grey Hunters Pack - 135pts
5x Grey Hunters w/ Plasmagun and Mark of Wulfen in rhino
The only unit I can obviously say is big point sink is blood claws which I will say upfront Ive only included in my list cause I love the fluff and special charterers other then that any suggestions and help would be greatly appreciated. Would this list just be completely destroyed or has and ok chance to pull a win(of course using proper tactics and all)?

Meh imo drop the bloodclaws. 5 of them (even with lukas) wont do too much good for the points you've spent on them. I'd rather buff out the other squads to 9 men then add in PF/Combi Melta Wolf Guard (although you do need 3 guard normally so might not be able to have 9 men squads, just 3 5 men squads) Or perhaps use razorbacks since this list lacks long range weapons

Your 2nd Grey Hunter pack cost is wrong should come out only 5 points more than your melta gun GH pack...plasma only being 5 more points after all. I'd say to drop the blood claw squad and add in wolf guard w/ PF or PW to the GH squads, add a 3rd GH squad, then boost the numbers of the other two squads. Or if you want to keep em small drop the blood claws and give the squads wolf guard and a razorback.

Thanks for suggestions, by the way do you think the current list could have good chance of pulling a win? I also messed up the point count and re did the list slighlty giving one of the mark of wulfen a power weapon and getting rid of the PM SB on the rhino's

An aweful lof of points sunk into the Lord imo, sure the mount gives him mobility but a single guy can be countered.
In an 800 point list you'll really need him to make his points back effectively.
If you are taking BCs I'd go for jump packs on them, it means they dont have to spend a turn getting out of a Rhino before assaulting and have a decent 12 inch movement. Just make sure they are covered well and they go against the right target.

Honestly I think you have too many toys. While they are awesome both fluff wise, rules wise and in game Lukas and the Lord together are roughly half of your total points for a 750 point game. Drop Lukas, swap the blood claws to grey hunters and buff the squads. If your squads of 5 ran in to 20 ork boyz they'd be eaten alive, even with MotW and a Power Sword. At 750 Id run the following:
Wolf Lord - SotWB, WC, SS, WTT - 190 (At WS 6 he is hitting on 3+ vs most things so no WTN)
Grey Hunters x10 2x Meltagun, Rhino - 190
Grey Hunters x10 2x Meltagun, Rhino - 190
Blood Claws x9 Flamer, Rhino - 180
I threw the Blood Claws in for something different, but only leave them if you intend on putting the lord with them. If not they should be grey hunters. The WS 3 of the blood claws isnt that big a deal since you still hit MEQ on 4+ but they will hit you on 3+.

If you're looking strictly from a win/loss standpoint, a solid army list is a major factor but not the only one... Your tactics, the scenario, your opponent, and the random dice rolls take up the rest. I have seen some crazy lists pull out wins in the hands of a good general and I have seen nasty lists get slaughtered in the hands of someone not experienced enough to use it.
Really the only way that most of us learn is by playing more games. At this stage, you shouldn't be so worried about wins and losses.
If I were to critique your list, I think you have some big point sinks at a very small point level of the game. Your Wolf Lord is a beast and is going to draw an insane amount of fire from your opponents. However, he also costs as much as a Land Raider and accounts for 31% of the points used in your army... It looks like you are trying to build an assault SW army. That's cool, but you might want a bit more balance in the shooting phase.
Hmm... I'm not sure if you are limited on models, but have you thought about trying something like this:
HQ - Wolf Priest - 100
ELI - Dreadnought w/Assault Cannon and Ex Armor - 120
TR - Blood Claws (8 man pack) w/Flamer & Power Fist, mounted in a Rhino - 180
TR - Grey Hunters (5-man) w/Melta Gun & Wolf Standard, mounted in a Razorback - 130
TR - Grey Hunters (5-man) w/Melta Gun & Wolf Standard, mounted in a Razorback - 130
HVY - Long Fangs (5-man plus pack leader) 5 w/Missile Launchers - 140
Total = 800
Stick the Wolf Priest in with the Blood Claws to aid with all their attacks.

Patrick has a great list as well. If Im running GH in a rhino I want to get the free extra special weapon or a wolf guard. If not I want to run them in a Razorback for the extra weapons. Patrick also makes a great point with the priest as letting the blood claws reroll their to-hits plus fearless is really nice. The other option for fun is swap the Blood Claws for Sky Claws and give the Priest a Jump Pack.
If you dropped the EA on the Dread and the Blood Claws you could replace them with 8 Sky Claws with MotW for 159 and give the priest a jump pack. That would change your total to 789...the extra 10 points could go to MB on the priest and a flamer for the blood claws or whatever else you wanted. While a power fist on a charging blood claw is better than on a charging GH after that first round you still get 1 PF attack for 25 points...thats a very expensive single str 8 hit.

Thanks to all so far for helpin out this new guy lol I tryed differnet build also tryed not to put too much points into one squad my Wolf Guard being the biggest investment
HQ - Wolf Priest - 140pts
Termi Armor
Melta Bombs
Wolf Tooth Necklace
Elites - Wolf Guard Pack - 209pts
3x Wolf Guard w/ Termi Armor, Melta Bombs, 2x Wolf Claws, TH/ SS, SB PF in a Drop Pod
Troops - Grey Hunter Pack - 150pts
7x Grey Hunters w/ Meltagun in Razorback
Grey Hunter Pack - 150pts
7x Grey Hunters w/ Meltagun in Razorback
Grey Hunter Pack - 150pts
7x Grey Hunters w/ Plasmagun in Rhino
Just me tryin to be bit more wise with points is this any improvement? Also is it in bigger games that special characters are better to be used in?

Razorbacks have a max size of 6 so your 2 melta squads are invalid. Correcting the squads puts them at 135 points a piece. Id swap the priest to a rune priest Chooser\LL\JotWW for cheaper. This gives you Ranged AT that you can stick on his own in cover or in the rhino or with the termies.
The only problem I have with this list is if you come up against IG w/ Chimera spam your going to have problems. Your only anti-tank is meltaguns that cant fire out of their razorback and a single plasmagun. You can do HTH for AT with your termy squad but unless you get a multi-charge off with some luck on damage rolls, you will get just 1 vehicle with that squad.
I love the termies but I feel like they have a weird setup. At 800 points Id make them a bit better I would suggest the following:
Rune Priest - Chooser, LL, JotWW - 110
Wolf Guard Pack - 5x WG w/ TDA, 2x WC/SB, PW/SB/CML, 2x PF/SB - 225
5x GH w/ Meltagun in Razorback w/ TLAC 155
5x GH w/ Meltagun in Razorback w/ TLAC 155
5x GH w/ Meltagun in Razorback w/ TLAC 155
Total - 800 Automatically Appended Next Post: I feel like in the above the TLAC can probably do AT well enough. STR 6 + Rending at Heavy 4 out to get at least a stun out of each phase if they are in transports or really smack a squad of anything that isnt MEQ.
The RP can either be alone or with the termy squad. You could put him with the razorback squads but then he couldnt shoot his unlimited range super autocannon.
The new termy squad now has 10x Storm bolter shots plus 2 frag missiles or 2 Krak missiles. For close combat you have 2 wolf claws and a power sword at initive and 2 power fists. That should be pretty decent. Automatically Appended Next Post: To swap it for a 750 point game, drop a razorback and put in a long fang squad with 4x ML at 100 points even. Throw the RP in there and you got some decent ant-tank and anti-troop. Automatically Appended Next Post: Last time to chime in lol but you could also swap a razorback for 2 MM/HF land speeders at 140 points.

Solid for 800 points. Like it. However BCs still have the problem of getting out and charging.
This might be a viable option if you can root up another few points for a jump pack for the Priest:
Fast Attack: Skyclaw Assault Pack 164 pts
8 Skyclaw Assault Pack (Frag Grenades; Krak Grenades; Jump Pack; Power Armour; Bolt Pistol x7; Chainsword x7; Flamer; Power Weapon). They have frag/krak which makes them a nice flexible unit, 30 attacks on the charge if my math is right, flamer and move of 12 inches - same as the Rhino, use cover and they can work well. Stick the Priest with them and they no longer suffer from headstrong(?).
Elites - Wolf Guard Pack - 209pts
3x Wolf Guard w/ Termi Armor, Melta Bombs, 2x Wolf Claws, TH/SS, SB PF in a Drop Pod
What do you intend these guys to do? Podding in with a hth build isnt a great idea and 3 SBs isnt going to do a whole lot when they arrive imo, switch them out.
Hope this helps

The problem with SW terminators is that they get expensive fast as opposed to their standard space marine cousins. A standard Wolf Guard Terminator with storm bolter and power weapon is 33 points where for 40 points in the SM codex you can get a terminator with a Thunderhammer and Storm Shield.
However, in SW assault armies I'm a big fan of using Wolf Guard to lead your packs. So, if you wanted to take the list I posted earlier, you can do something like this:
HQ - Wolf Priest w/Melta Bombs - 105
ELI - Wolf Guard (3-man all leading packs) 1 w/Power Fist & Combi-Melta, 2 w/Combi-Melta & Close Combat weapons. - 89
TR - Blood Claws (8-man) w/Flamer, mounted in a Rhino - 155
TR - Grey Hunters (5-man) w/Melta Gun, mounted in a Razorback - 120
TR - Grey Hunters (5-man) w/Melta Gun, mounted in a Razorback - 120
HVY - Long Fangs (5-man plus Pack Leader) 5 w/Missile Launchers - 140
FA - Landspeeder w/Multi-Melta & Heavy Flamer - 70
Total = 799
Stick the Wolf Priest and the Wolf Guard with the Pwr Fist in with the Blood Claws. Put the other two Wolf Guard in with the Grey Hunter packs.... This list isn't that much different, but I dropped the Dreadnought for a unit of Wolf Guard and a Landspeeder. This list has a little more anti-tank ability than the other one has, although the balance between assault and shooting ability is still there.
The Space Wolves have some very customizable units, but you have to be careful since they can drink up your points fast. With my wolves I generally run a heavy mechanized army list, however a Wolf Priest with a jump pack in a Sky Claw pack isn't a bad option... In bigger games, I'm actually a fan of a Wolf Priest on a SM bike attached to a pack of Swift Claw bikers. People overlook the bikes since the Thunderwolf cav are so awesome, but truth be told the Swift Claw bikes are one of the best point values in the game for 25 points each and you can attach an Attack Bike for just 5 points more.
Good luck again!
