My friend is playing Tomb Kings and we're trying to determine whether incantations can be dispelled or not. If so how does it work?

His take is:

"The conclusion we had come to was that since I dont generate power dice, my opponet would not generate dispell dice, other then channel dice. So what is your take on this ruling. Keeo in mind that the tomb kings codex is 8 years the current edition and all we have to go off of is and interpretation of the codex and erratta. "

Your thoughts on incantations being dispelled in 8th edition?

Um, no. You still roll for Winds of Magic, whether or not you use the Power Dice.

Since he DOES have a Magic Phase, you are entitled to getting Dispel Dice based off of Winds of Magic rolls.

Yeah incantations are either insane ( he rolls something like for winds)

Or the flop cause he gave you six dispell dice...

Incantations got really really powerful in this edition, especially if they have like 6-7 of them and you are sitting on 1-2 dispell dice.

Remember to add your casting level to the dispell attempts, when you do go to dispell them, it is normally very easy.

Yeah, the key to the incantations is to have a high number of them. A good TK player makes or breaks it by setting things up so there's actually something useful to do with them. It's no good being able to power something through if all it lets you do is send chariots in to bounce off a big fat block...

“It was in lands of the Chi-An where she finally ran him to ground. There she kissed him deeply as he lay dying, and so stole from him his last, agonized breath.

On a delicate chain at her throat, she keeps it with her to this day.”
