Njal Stormcaller 270 Terminator Armor HQ
Rune Priest 110 Chooser of the Slain HQ
Wolf Guard Pack 115 3x Wolf Guard, 2x Power Fists (2x storm bolters), 1x Power Sword (Meltabombs)
Grey Hunters Pack 150 5x Men, Flamer, Razorback (TL Lascannon)
Grey Hunters Pack 150 5x Men, Flamer, Razorback (TL Lascannon)
Grey Hunters Pack 120 5x Men, Meltagun, Razorback (TL Heavy Bolter)
Long Fangs 140 5x ML, 1x Squad Leader
Long Fangs 140 5x ML, 1x Squad Leader
Predator 85 Autocannon, Heavy Bolters
Dreadnought 115 Plasma Cannon (or Multi-Melta, Heavy Flamer)
Lone Wolf 105 TH/SS, 2 Wolves
1500 points

Njal and the Rune priest join the long fangs at the back. They dish out tons of psychic damage, while countering enemy psykers and stopping inflitrators, jetbikes, jet packs, and skimmers in the area. The Long fangs and the Predator eat... most everything. The Wolf guard pack splits into the different grey hunters packs in the razorbacks. They do different things depending on the enemy. The dreadnought is a counter charge unit, against anything that cares to outflank the long fangs. The lone wolf is kinda a fun unit, but it goes straight toward the most dangerous thing the enemy has and tries to kill it.

Standard enemies:
Horde? Predator, 10 Missiles, and 2 murderous hurricanes. Land Raider? Zoom up dreadnought and the razorback with the meltagun squad. Eldar skimmer transports? 10 missiles, 2 lascannons, living lightning, and stormcallers. Elites? 10 missiles, plasma cannon, 2 lascannons, and power fists. Carnifex? Jaws. I think it covers just about everything.

What do you guys think?

Only real problem I see is against AV14. One melta and a possible multi-melta don't really cut it. At least add combi-meltas instead of storm bolters on your Wolf Guard.

Other than that, seems okay. If you really want to make the "strongest and most competitive" list then there are a ton of changes that could be made to make it more efficient.

Njal is always fun though

Incinerating your hopes

Really, 15 troops. . .*sigh* no way is this comp. Need more bodies. I don't care if you have AV11 shells, they pop like anything else. It's relatively easy to take away your potential in 2/3 of games by killing your boys.

It's actually 18 scoring models!!

But I agree... unless your playing annihilation every game you should probably beef that up a bit. Cutting some points from Njal or the Pred to get more troops and razorbacks would be better.

To be honest...Njal deserves to be in a suicide pod or a Rhino if ever on the table...

The way those Grey Hunters are, there's no point in taking the Wolf Guard...your points are better spent on Troops at this point...or Long Fangs.

Predator...well...its AV13 Daisycutter...that isn't amazing at its job...I would drop it as well.

Dropping the Predator and Wolf Guard beings you up to 200 points...take a Meltagun/Assault Back Grey Hunter unit and upgrade the other to carry the same. You have 10 points leftover, give the Dread a Heavy Flamer. You now have 2 Meltas...will this stop a Land Raider, no. Will a Land Raider give you problems? Only if you focus too hard on it. If your opponent sets up a Land Raider, realize that is easily ~500 points sunk into it (275 [Land Raider with Respectable Kit], ~220 [Terminators, Tactical Squad, Assault Squad]). There fore, that leaves you 1000 points that will be enjoying the taste of the rest of your armies shooting. When the Raider finally gets close enough to play...you'll have an entire army to focus on it.

That's just my two cents.
