so I'm faced with a dilemma that leaves me no choice but to sell half of my army. At this point, I have roughly 2500 points of Tyranids.

Hive Tyrant w/ wings, bonesword, lashwhip, Heavy Venom Cannon (255)
3x Tyrant Guard w/ lashwhips (195)
Trygon (200)
Venomthrope (55)
Biovore (45 with a ridiculous amount of spore mines)
2x Zoanthropes (120)
12x Genestealers (168 normally, 276 as Ymgarl)
84x Hormagaunts (504)
Carnifex (with 25+ weapon upgrade, 185)
Tyrannofex w/ Rupture Cannon(265)
Parasite of Mortrex (160)
Doom of Malan'tai (90)
20x Ripper Bases (200)
Hive Guard (50)
Red Terror (count as Zoanthrope.. 60)

so it adds up to a little over 2500 points. In all honestly, I never, ever plan on playing a game that's more that 1250 points, so I'm prepared to cut my army in half. I'm having a problem deciding what I can get rid of. So honest opinions, what do you think?

**I'm focusing on a swarming close-combat melee army, so I would prefer to keep a lot of Hormagaunts and Rippers. I'm most definitely going to use 6x Genestealers, and not the full 12. Tyrannofex needs to stay in the list, as well as Zoanthropes and the Red Terror. I'm planning on running only ONE HQ unit, so would I use the Parasite and sell the Hive Tyrant and his Guards, or the opposite? Though I prefer the Parasite, I'm not sure if it's a wise choice for the army.

also I do need to note that I've only played once before, so I'm not completely sure on how everything works

thanks, guys :]

Personally I think the following should stay:

Hive Guard
Tyrannofex
Doom
All your Hormagaunts and Stealers (6 is simply not enough. It's either all or nothing).
Zoanthropes.

Rippers should go with the parasite, so if you sell it, sell the rippers too. Same thing goes for the Hive Tyrant and his Tyrant Guard. The Doom, Zoeys and Hive Guard will take up all of your elites, so the Venomthrope can go too. Biovore is a maybe, since they are effective against GEQs, but you may need a second or third to get the most out of them, so if you're not gonna shell out the money for a second one then sell it.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

Is your principle reason for selling, to raise money, or, to get rid of weak units and claw back a bit of cash?

It's so I can eat this week, really. But it will also help me trim down the army and allow me to focus on specific units. I guess a bit of both.

edit: I posted this on a couple other forums to get a well-rounded opinion of what I should do, so I'm DEFINITELY selling the Trygon, Parasite of Mortrex (with 20x Ripper Bases), Carnifex, 24x Hormagaunts, and Biovore (with 17x Spore Mines). I'm still debating on some others. I might keep the Doom as a "substitute" model because I really love how the Venomthrope operates (and I might be getting one or two more as a gift this holiday season), so I think the Elites are done being poked at.

I would keep the Trygon and sell the Tyrannofex at a high price as a special converted unit.
