I saw a thread where Bloodquest stated he was setting up magnet sales for models. I have recently run through all my magnets and was looking to replenish my supply for a bunch of projects I have coming up. Well I went to The Manufactorum's website after getting in touch with Bloodquest to make sure he had the stock on hand. Since this was a new venture for him, I didn't want to swamp him. Long story short, he had my requirements and got them out to me for a fair price in short order with friendly, customer oriented service. If you are looking for more in a magnet supplier, I don't really know what it would be. The Manufactorum was aces all the way!

One big thing I look rather sharply at when I see a start-up here on the net is professionalism. This shows how seriously someone takes themselves, their business, and their customers. I use that to gauge whether or not they are going to be capable of going the distance, or whether they shall buckle under the load. The Manufactorum really impressed me. This isn't a kid who borrowed 100 bucks from mom and pop and decided they wanted to open "and e-store wowz!!". The Manufactorum came across professional and reliable. I am very confident I will be buying more magnets from them in short and long term.

aren't transaction reports supposed to be the format for problems, not praise, with trades on dakka?

That they are. This is better suited for Dakka Discussions.

I thought that too, could I suggest a change of title? It currently looks like there was a problem until you read the post.

That was my first thought as well. Really gotta rename the post, more like "Customer Review" or something.

Well, changed the title to make it more "dakka friendly". Thanks for moving it to the right spot mod. Wasn't aware that a "transaction report" was strictly for negatives, could someone link me to where that's stated?

I did try to borrow $100 off my Mum and Dad, but they weren't having any of it!

While I'm very grateful for the kind words from grizgrin, it seems like people would have been happier if he'd said I was a useless tosser!

Anyway, in the interest of openess, I would re-iterate that the site is an adjunct to the hobby for me, not a full-time business. Depending on relative popularity of different sizes, I keep between 100 and 1,000 of each of the sizes listed "in stock".

I will be getting more of the videos up as soon as I can and more how-to's.

I'll leave it at that before this start to look to much like "a message from our sponsor".
