So guys i was thinking about Space Wolves and most specifically Rune Priests.
Are there any particular tactics to be used in such an army scenario? I am referring to 4 Rune Priests in Rhinos or something to that effect.

For starters is it worth going all out on 4 x JoTWW? Perhaps 4 x Living Lightning or 4 x Murderous Hurricane?

What should compliment such a list, what are its weaknesses, its strengths?
Isn't it kinda like playing 4 overpowered vindicare assasins?

Cheers!

LL is pretty hot, as is MH, and JoTWW is nothing to scoff at itself, however I've never felt the need for 4x rune priests

Just thinking of the cheap overpowering strength, can you imagine 4 charging rhinos picking off the opponent's favorite dudes at 500 points? Or maybe 4 rhinos in corners away from harm spamming 4D6 str 7 shots? What about 12D6 Str 3 murderous hurricanes?

One Runepriest is all that is needed, 2 at most. Beyond that, you get better investment on more Long Fangs and Razorbacks.

The powers for a Runepriest I consider most important are Storm Caller and Tempest's Wrath, for both do not require firing points to function, and being able to ensure cover does its part to increase the durability of your vehicles.

Truly i think people underestimate things like LL and JotWW.
I mean with LL, just put two rhinos in your objectives, far from any action and start popping up mech left and right, chimeras, rhinos, razorbacks, ravagers hell even Stormravens are easy pickings, we 're talking about 4D6, if you put chooser of slain or whatever the bird is called on every librarian we 're talking about an average of 15 LLs out of which 12 should hit, at str 7 no less, that is nothing to scoff at and far surpasses autocannons....
and thats just with 2 rhinos camped in your home base.

JotWW makes it even better just deep strike em or charge em in, you can even kill independent characters with eternal warrior that way...pick off the meltas off marine squads or kill that annoying Logan in one hit....why is everyone so negative with JotWW these days anyhow?

Most things are I3 or above. Very few things actually die from JotWW unless they are an MC. LL is pretty awesome but can be let down by the random. The other powers are more useful for the Rune Priest as they are better support powers and the Rune Priest is a support character. Although if you are making an all-comers list JotWW is always a decent bet just in case...

This is what you do:

Get logan, 3 rune priests with living lightning, 6 long fangs with 5 rocket launchers and a wolf guard with a cyclone missile launcher.

When you chose tankhunter you now have 7 str 9 shots, and 3d6 str 8 shots witch can be shott at two diferent targets.

What about 1 farseer with runes of warding, have fun with that.

Chaos isn’t a pit. Chaos is a ladder. Many who try to climb it fail, and never get to try again. The fall breaks them. And some are given a chance to climb, but refuse. They cling to the realm, or love, or the gods…illusions. Only the ladder is real. The climb is all there is, but they’ll never know this. Not until it’s too late.
