Trailer has been out for a while.
Yeah the game looks pretty good.
I'll probably get it but it does look entertaining.

do you know if its a FPS or more like dawn of war of what?

This may go in the "Video Games" section, but heck if I know.

It's a 3rd person shooter from what's given, and while it has some emphasis on shooting, it is Warhammer 40k... Melee will likely be a large focus, with gore and dismemberment all but guaranteed I'm betting that giving a loadout to each character will be a feature in the game, and maybe, MAYBE, driving/piloting a vehicle of sorts.

From what i have seen it is similar to Gears of War but with more CC and i have also seen a turret piloting part as well though that may have been cut as it was some time ago.

Its ok, I didn't either until a few days ago, but little is known. Orks and Space Marines seem to be the focus, however, I could see other factions being implemented, especially a few of the more frieightening ones ambushing you in dark scary places...

alot of the screen shots i saw had planes in them (one valkarie and some ork ones) so i could definitely see aircombat as a possibility.

I saw a sequence involving a heavy bolter turret on a thunderhawk where you had to shoot down ork fighta bombas

I really wish people would realize that that alpha footage is from a different studio entirely and has no involvement whatsoever in this game.

"It's Gears of War" insofar that it's a third person shooter. There is no cover system because, as the developers themselves say, "Cover is for pussies" - you are a Space Marine, you ARE cover. It's going to be a third person shooter/brawler with RPG elements. It was going to be a lot more RPG-like earlier in development, but they toned it down quite a bit. Your weapons get better with use and so on though. It's coming out in Spring, allegedly.

I think its summer now.

Most places I've seen online are listing summer 2011 at the earliest.

The last trailer i saw it reminded me more of a God of War but with with Space marines instead of Kratos (never played Gears of war).

Gamestop is notorious for having dates for things even thu the product is no were near being out as well as cramming preorders down everyone througts. I always take there release dates with a huge grain of salt. IGN says Release Date: Q3 2011
