I need a conversion idea, and thought I would pose it to the Dakka community.

I was assembling and painting a Forgeworld model. Ordo Xenos Inquisitor Solomon Lok.

I had washed the model, and noticed the power sword was slightly bent. I ran it under some hot water, and jammed it into my copy of 'The Inquisition War' as I primed the rest of the model. So hours later I'm painting the main body.

The sprue with the power sword (with hand attached) also had the other hand on it.
That has now gone missing (And I have a dog with a guilty grin).

Looking at the pic of the model, the hands attach at the base of the glove on both hands. So this is mid fore-arm.
I have a fairly extensive bits collection, and am always willing to swap or buy new bits to make a good conversion... having said that, my conversion skills are somewhat sub par.

So I thought I'd put this to all of you and get some suggestions.

Any ideas?

Oh yeah, I really son't care what he ends up with, I just need an Ordo Xenos Inquisitor for a Deathwatch campaign we're working on.

Hmm...maybe an imperial guard style powerfist? or since its ordo xenos a bolter or "xeno gun" if he is a radical. Also a hand flamer, chain sword or power weapon could work.
My first impression on what part to use is the powerfist from then Cadian Command Squad box...should be about the right size and its right-handed if I recall correctly and it should be fairly easy to cut and glue it on with minimal conversion work.

He's missing the left hand I think, it was on the sprue with the powersord hand. Why not go all out and give him Yarrick's power claw? Actually any sort of human hand with a pistol of some sort should work. You might need a little gs to smooth the transition

both hands. They were on the same sprue... Just the sword blade was in the book, and the wee darling must have gotten it by the hands/sprue.

Imperial guard command box has a right handed sword that might work (iirc). For the left hand, I'd go for a bolt pistol, a pointing hand, or, if you don't use wysiwyg in deathwatch, and hand flamer you come across. Use GS to smooth joints.

Use the Empire plastic wizard box set , it has a sword with a hand attacthed , that goes to the wrist, just like the one you have lost.

Ask FW if you can get a spare set of hands.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

You have a bigger problem. Resin is Toxic, your dog is now dead.

Resin isn't overly toxic - not compared to chocolate - given the kinds of crap that dogs WILL eat.

It's the breathing of the dust that is bad - as is the breathing in of ANY particulates, really. Resin just tends to get stuck.

Still, one less dog in the world can't be a bad thing (cat person ).

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

Resin's not too bad, though the fact it had sharp edges could be a problem. Should be okay, just get her/him to a vet as soon as you can if they start to vomit, have a distended stomach, depressed, listless or stop using the bathroom. This could mean a blockage, so swift action is pretty important.

Do love the servo-skull, think its my favourite part! The corsair captain has crossed swords which fit onto the forearms, but that's a very particular pose.

He's not so dead fortunately. 'Agent Jack Bauer' made his invuln save and needs more than a toxic power sword (and hand) to take him down it seems.

I'm looking at getting the sword from the Wizard set as Blackclaw posted. I'm still debating the hand flamer vs shuriken (or even splinter pistol ideas).
Also, for the pointing hand, I was thinking of the cadian command bit with the map hand... painted to be not a map, but a warrant.
