Hi everyone. This is a sketch for a story I'm working on. It's also the background to my khornate warband, The Sword of Malice. (pictures here: http://www.dakkadakka.com/gallery/images-30949-10207_The%20Sword%20of%20Malice.html) It's pretty incomplete I'll update it as more comes to me.

Sariel the Bold. Sariel the Just. Sariel the Hammer. These were but a few of the names by which one of the Imperium's most faithful servants was known. From one corner of the Ultima Segmentum to the other, his deeds were legend. It was he who descended into the hellish underhives of Heshem IX. With the blessed chain axe he brought the Emperor's justice to the traitor Bubax and ended the Plague of the 7th Seal forever. It was he who lead the reckless airborne assault into the heart of Waaagh Skullrippa that broke the back of a mighty Ork Empire. For eight days and eight nights he and his warriors battled a horde of greenskins a hundred thousand strong. Waist-deep in an ocean of human and xenos gore, he stood against their gargantuan leader, and by the grace of his power fist he did tear the beating heart from his enemy. He traveled as far as the Ghoul Stars, and in the Labrynth of a Thousand Sorrows he confronted the spectral adversary. With Prometheum and Faith he smote them, and thus his name is remembered forever.

But each victory brought Brother Sariel closer to damnation, for pride had begun to take root within his noble heart....
