Hey all,

I am playing in a 2000pt tournament this Saturday.

I have 12 jetbikes built, I don't have to run all 12, but what does everyone thing the best unit set up would be?

Two units of six? A unit of 9 and a unit of 3? Four units of three? Or what?

I am not really concerned about having cannons or not or running them with warlocks. But if you wanted to comment on those two notes do so.

Thanks.

2 units of 6 so you can take the upgraded "shuriken" thingy

Getting my broom incase there is shenanigans.

The best set up is 4 bikes:

Guardian Jetbike Squadron 134 Pts
3 Guardian Jetbike Squadron w/Shuriken Cannon
1 Warlock w/Destructor, Singing Spear

Troops that move fast. Good at killing just about anything from hordes to vehicles.

If you want to use the rest of your bikes this is OK, but not as good as 3 of the above squad:

6 Guardian Jetbike Squadron w/2 Shuriken Cannon
1 Warlock w/Embolden, Witchblade

Be sure to hide half of your unit behind cover to get a cover save, and you can have the 2 cannons on the edge shooting. Not an ideal configuration, but you can add a farseer on a bike for fortune and some durability to make them the poor-man's seer council.

Dont really agree with Blackmoor here. I prefer the latter config. With a 4 man squad one dead bike will see you running of the board all too often.

Take a 6 man squad, 2 cannons and an embolden lock with a spear. Ok durability and pretty decent at poping transports.

Don't sink too many points into this unit. If you want an expensive unit to put out firepower, go with DA. GJB units are simply there to provide a very small amount of shooting support and to act as a very mobile unit to cap objectives.

Always start them in reserves and go with this configuration:
3 Guardian Jetbikes with Shuriken Cannon
1 Warlock with Embolden an Singing Spear

The Embolden keeps them from running at the first sign of trouble, and you squad can put out some firepower with the Cannon.

Run two of these squads to capture objectives the enemy isn't really fighting over.

Thats still a 129pts unit that you must keep in reserve, Id rather pay and extra 76pts and use it all game long but YMMV

6 Bikes, 2 Shuriken Cannons, and a Singing Spear Warlock with Embolden. Optionally, Enhance if you're using the unit to escort an Autarch... Smaller squads have issues related to losing the important members or fleeing...

My favorite config as well.

Else, I add three more bodies for a closer range shooty bully unit, but not often.

This is a little story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job.
Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

Two units of 6 with 2 canons each.

Btw 6 bikes can string out and capture 2+ objectives.
