So, I played a kill-points game with my cousin Ryan the other day, (he’s the younger brother of my opponent from my previous bat-rep). He doesn’t have his own army (yet) so like always we made a list out of the few space marines I have. It was a 500 point game.
(in case the pics dont show i'm putting a link to each on under them, so hopefully you will all be able to see the pics) (all movement directions are based off my perpective ex: marines move left 6 in., meaning my left)

13th Draconir Ghost Regiment (me)
CCS w/ 2 meltas
PCS
Platoon w/ 3 squads commissar and 3 power weapons
HWT w/ Auto-Cannons
Vets w/ power fist, shotguns and heavy flamer

Un-named Super Soldiers of hurt (I think the list was like this)
Captain w/ power fist and combi-melta
(10) Tac squad w/ missile launcher and melta, and sgt. has power fist (split into combat squads w/ special weapon in each. Sgt. went with the melta squad)
(8) Tac Squad w/ Plasma Gun

Obviously not the best list but it’s what I have for now so we made do.
Here’s how we looked at deploymet

Ryan had first turn so here we go.

Turn 1 Marines
Movement:
The captain moves left slightly, and the melta squad moves into the doorway of the building they’re occupying.
Shooting:
The Missile-Launcher squad, melta-squad and captain all shoot at my blob. All told they killed nine paper armored flashlight men.

Turn 1 IG
Movement:
The vets run forward 10 in., the blob runs forward 12 in., the PCS runs 10 in. forward, the CCS moves 11 in., and the HWT moves 12in to the left to get a better LOS.
Shooting/Assaulting:
Nothing as everything ran.

Turn 2 Marines
Movement:
The captain moves 6 in. straight, the melta squad goes 6 in. to the right, and the plasma gun squad goes 6 in. left.
Shooting:
The Missile squad shoots at the vets and kills…five. The melta, and plasma gun squads shoot at the blob and kill 6 together. The captain shoots the bolter at the CCS, and I put the wound on the Senior Officer. I was trying to avoid losing firepower to try and wound him before he barreled into the squad.
Assault:
Nothing

Turn 2 IG
Movement:
Vets move 6 in. towards Missile marines, and the PCS, and the blob move 6 in. forward as well.
Shooting:
The CCS shoots at the captain and doesn’t so much as scratch his armor. The Autocannons shoot at the Missile marines and picks one off. And Finally the vets roast a marine in his armor, and even drag another down with shotgun fire.
Assault:
The Vets charge the remains of the Missile marine squad and the sgt. pummels 2 to death with his power fist while losing no men in the process. They consolidate 2 in. forward. And finally the blob charges the melta squad losing three and dragging down two.

Turn 3 Marines
Movement:
The plasma gun squad moves 6 in. forward.
Shooting:
Plasma gun squads auto-fires and CCS and shreds 3.
Assault:
Captain charges the CCS and wipes them taking no wounds himself.
In the Melee between the blob and the melta squad: the Marines club down 3 guardsmen and lose two more of their own squad.

Turn 3 IG
Movement:
PCS moves 6 in. towards the blob, and the vets haul ass 11 in. around the building they were next to.
Shooting:
The auto-cannons shoot at the plasma gun marines and stare in horror as they not only don’t fall down but start to shout across the field about how long it took to polish their armor.
Assault:
The blob finally wipes out the Melta gun marine squad and consolidates 2 in. towards the plasma gun squad. (bad idea)

So, at this point my “blob” is now roughly the size of a regular guardsmen squad in the open staring down the barrels of nearly a full strength marine squad. How much damage could fully automatic grenade launchers really do to paper armored humans….I’m not worried are you?

Turn 4 Marines
Movement:
None, only sight adjustment on the bolters.
Shooting:
The plasma Gun squad to my horror is well within auto-fire range and my cousin with a smirk of absolute coldness on his face issues the order to fire. He kills nine guardsmen total leaving the commissar and a sgt. alive. The commissar promptly executes him to re take a failed morale check and passes. At least the plasma gunner killed himself…
Assault:
The capt. Ploughs into the HWT, and puts down one wound.

Turn 4 IG
Movement:
My commissar sprints 9 in. past the vet squad wishing them good luck and all that. The vets move 6 in towards the marines, and the PCS moves 6 in. to hide behind a building.
Shooting:
The vets shoot at the plasma gun squad toasting one and pelleting another to death.
Assault:
The vets bravely charge the Plasma gun squad, skewering one on bayonets, while the Sgt. pummels 3 more to death with his power fist. Only one vet died in the process. Meanwhile the capt. Continued to wreck my HWT taking one wound and dishing out 2.

Turn 5 Marines
Nothing in movement and shooting
Assault:
In the melee between the vets and the plasma gun squad the vets drag down another marine while losing another vet. The captain beats the remains of the HWT to a bloody pulp.

Turn 5 IG
Nothing in movement or shooting
Assault:
The vets kill 1 marine and lose two more vets. The remnants of the squad consolidate 6 in. into the nearest building.

Right so…ouch. I didn’t go into this with a real plan, more so intending to grind him down in a war of attrition that we both knew he couldn’t win. Yeah I took embarrassing casualties but hey what are the IG for if not to be meat shields? Overall it was a fun game and I look forward to him building his own army.

On a side note, I was underwhelmed by the HWT. I think I’ll bulk out the blob instead next time and give them some melta bombs as well. Or possibly introduce marbo into the list.

Next report I think will be me v.s. my sisters slaanesh army.

just FYI a capt with a PF is str 8 and doubles out HWT's considering they have 2 wounds T3 he insta gibs them

all and all a good read though, just a bit confusing

yeah still playin around with how to format the bat reps, and still learning ALL the rules. I know about the insta kill stuff, just wasnt sure if the HWT counted as having two people or not since their are 2 guys on the base (guess not =) )

Nice batrep. But the pictures seem to be taken from your cellphone? add some better pics in, and put them directly here for ease of looking, and you'll have smashing good batrep.

@ Scrazza, lol not a my cellphone just a bad camera with bad lighting, but I could see how you could think cell phone.

@theduncan, I knew that but my opponent was only like ten so I didn't think it would be a big deal, friendly game for fun ya know? =)
