Me and my friend will be starting to play Apoc after Christmahanukwanzaakah.

His list:

1 Stompa
A many Boyz as he can field, and he can field up to like 200 at the moment.
Some Specialists like Burnas or Lootaz depending on mission
Lots of trucks an wagons


My List:
1 Baneblade
Some Guard Tanks
10-15 Termies
Scouts to secure objectives
Tau Fire Warriors+ Stealth Teams + Devilfish to support Scouts
Assualt Squads
2 Tac
2 Pred
1 Captian+Command
Master of Forge+Beamer
3 Morbis Dreads with AutoCannons

Umm... Why are there Fire warriors in there?!?!

You can used allied armies in Apoc, so I thought they and their Devilfish can help the Scouts hold Objectives, and the Stealth team can do Hit in runs against the Orks to focus the atention on the Steath Team so they won't charge the Scouts/Fire Warriors

hmm. swap the SB/PF termies for TH/SS ones. a lot better.
swap the command squad for ones with meltaguns (x4) and stick 'em in a DP, drop them behind the stompa.
swap the preds for vindicators.
have a IG flamer unit in a chimera.
swap the other 5 termies with a valkyrie w/rocket pods. strafe the orks. kill the lootas first. otherwise, not much has a chance.
DS the 10 TH/SS termies behind the stompa. include lysander and make it a titanhammer squad. lose the captain but you can still use the comm. squad.
swap the scouts for scout bikers. booby trap ork buildings (the ones which the lootas might use)
swap the dread guns for DCCW and HF with assault cannon, ML/LC, DCCW and HF with plasma cannon.
Give the ML/LC dread a DP, give the DP a locator beacon, and land that first, so then lysander and buddies can DS without scattering.
use the assault marines to fly up to the tac squads when they're in CC.
give the tac. squads flamers and ML.

so it'll be:
baneblade
2 vindicators
melta command squad in DP
10 TH/SS termies
lysander
2 tac. squads
assault squads
IG flamer unit
valk
fire warriors
devilfish
stealth suits
3 dreads- 1 in DP w/ ML and LC, 1 w/plasma cannon and HF, 1 w/ HF and assault cannon (DS the DP dread with the melta CCS)

I'll Make a Titan hammer Squad, give the command Meltas/ Combi-Meltas and stick them in a DP, instead of take the Valks, i'll add 5 more termies and with LC and kill the Lootaz. Don't have any vindies at the moment but i can do the rest of that list.

seriously- you need more than a baneblade and a few tactical squads to kill the 200 orks. have you got anything like LR redeemers, basilisks, whirlwinds, ect?

2 LR Redeemers should do it. He actually has like 160 orks.

and that has WHAT to do with this?!
use the flank march asset- a redeemer from each side.
so it is this:
LC termies- kill the lootas
Scout bikers and tau- hold objectives
Tac. squads- kill the turks/BW's/specialised squads
Assault squads- help the Tac. marines and get into CCW with orks when they get too close
IG flamers- sit near baneblade, babysit until the mob is dead.
ML/LC dread- let lysander arrive safely, hurt stompa.
HF/AC dread- kill the mob.
HF/plasma cannon dread- kill the specialised units.
Lysander- kill the stompa/draw fire
TH/SS- see above
Comm. squad- kill stompa
redeemers- kill the mob
baneblade- kill the mob

Yep. Also every squad will have Melta bombs to deal with Battle Wagons

Nobs, possiblity of Mega Nobs. The Sgt. of each squad will have a power fist just-in-case

have a plasma devestator squad. very good at killing stuff like that. maybe, since lysander and the dread can kill the stompa, give the CCS plasma guns and DS them in next to a BW when it pops.

If you can take that doomsday vortex missile launcher for IG, do it. That will make one big hole in 200 orks and then run rampaging thru the rest of the horde.

hahaha lol... but it's a waste of a vortex for some orks...use it on some tanks/a large mob of expensive units. It may be 10" blast, but a baneblade will do just as much with the baneblade cannon.
