As I dabble in a lot of random stuff I thought id just kick off a blog of what I have been up to lately and update it.

I have been a member (not to active) for a while but plan to do more.

I have enjoyed this site a lot and it has taught me and motivated me beyond measure so cheers everyone.

My work is far from perfect, and probably far from good compared to some of what I see here, but compared to what it was it has greatly improved!!

I will be going back over some average mini's in the next months and improving them as well.

First off some elves I was toying with...



My first complete slayer in a new Dwarf army I am building... (sorry I have yet to neaten the flocking, one of the many things I am doing for the first time!!!).




Clan Dwarves... (yet to be flocked but will be the same as the slayer, this flock is meant to have a half dead winter grass/tundra look).




And some more slayers yet to be flocked.

Some more of my older Slaanesh stuff tarted up a bit.

Just little details suggested by members here...

My Daemon Princess and some her girls. As opposed to the one skin tone I had previously this has been re built up using some washes and subtle high lighting.





And for those that thought she did not loom daemon enough, I have done her wings they just need to be pinned...



And some of the lads. I am still working out how I am going to base my Slaaneshi army.

So whats next?

Well I have some grand plans for this Dward army...

I am also kicking off a new Necromunda gang soon... Still toying with gang themes but the 80's movie "The Warriors" is standing out hahahaha.

Also loving the new Dark eldar mini;s so who knows!

NICE SLANNESH! i noticed you used some either eldar or dark eldar heads on some of your csm, looks nice!keep up the good work!

Nice to see some non-orange-bearded Slayers.

I see what you're going for with the bases, and the finished Slayer's base looks good from the front, but from the back it looks a little lacking.

Rather than just painting the base, might I recommend putting down a layer of sand or grit? That way you've got some texture in what I assume you want to appear as bare dirt, rather than just a spot that looks like it got missed with the grass.

Yeah mate just normal eldar heads.

I wanted the sexy but evil side of slaanesh which I think is lacking is a lot of figures.

Thanks for the advice. This was actually something I was considering so its nice to hear from someone else. I will be addking some sand soon for effect with a light dry brush I think.

This will work well with my fluff for the dwarves as well.

I am opting for a dwarven army from Norsca. As per wiki dwarf fluff they have been seperated for a while from the main body of the dwarven empire as known by say the empire. I am assuming being dwarves many things will be the same, but I am going for a more viking blonde look and less technology. Hence I wont have thunderers but quarrellers as so forth.

I have also bought a sweet mini from reaper which is a dwarf called Thorvold riding a bear. This will be my overall command and if no suitable rules for the bear are forth coming, well I dont play at GW's anyway

Ok some new tangents I am playing with...

Some reaper elves i dug out. I have always loved some of the finer details on the reaper elf miniatures (for the most part) and I am looking forward to doing these up purely as display mini's...



These old girls I revived. They are horribly gluggy and passed hands between gamers several times circa 1998. Anyway I only dipping them to play. I have some bold and large necromunda plans but want to freshen my understanding of the game officially and with friends before moving forward...

In short though id love to play a necromunda game where all the traditional gangs were available plus genestealer cultists, renegade aliens (orks, kroot etc) and so on. I am just unsure if the game ever developed that far...

Ok so one of my reaper elves done...

I am actually really hoping to use this one as an addition to a smuggler necromunda gang.

I am hoping her slightly punk rock image will make this easy...





To slightly more "futurise" her I am considering filing down her scrolls and adding the handle of a sawn off

Please let me know your thoughts on this idea...

Ok small Necromunda update...

I have scraped off one of the Escher gangers. OMG. So many layers hahahaha.

The base layer was yellow as well..?

Anyway I will work on the next ones later...



I have also ordered some Rackham mini's, some of the very very few remaining available online.

Its such a shame to if you look at their full range. Absoultely awesome work.

Anyway these will form the core of my Smuggler gang gangers... (Obviously this is the photo from their site and not my work).

Here is a selection of mini's I am looking at for my Necromunda Smugglers...

These range from reaper, freebooter, privateer press etc

Ok although I am not actually doing Escher as a gang, I could not leave these alone as they have always been a favourite of mine.

Call it a warm up for my actual necromunda build Although in saying that there is certainly the option to use, slightly modified, one of these girls in a smuggler gang...

They came up pretty well after some laborious picking and poking to get all the paint off, some terps had to be used as I think some oil based modelling paint was used in there somewhere.

I will watch this for the eschers and lovely slaneesh. The demon princess is fun.

I really like your work on the dwarves so far. Hoping to see some more of those fellas soon.

I was actually thinking about getting Thorvald on the bear for a buddy of mine as a birthday present. How does he compare in scale with the GW dwarves?

Epy346: Mate I would def say the scale is spot on.

Thats a GW Dwarf Lord next to him.

The Dwarves body and head are pretty much bang on.

With a tie in paint theme I think he will look right at home in my army.

Well some of you may have heard of the floods imy part of te world (Brisbane Australia).

The only good thing I can say has come from this has been the discovery of a few old boxes of OOP mini's as I was saving them from the water!

Anyway stay tuned but I think ill start with some old school Skaven Gutter Runners soon! (Once we have got everything back in order).
