Does it ever explain how Marneus Calgar losthis eye, the reason i'm asking is because I want to make a renegade chapter that involves the head of the chapter slashing his eye open.

I believe it says in the codex that a carnifex ripped open his Land Raider, flooded it with bio-acid, then blew up the Land Raider or he might have lost it fighting the orks

He had to fight the Swarmlord on his own. The Swarmlord chopped off all four of his limbs, but Marneus was saved before the Swarmlord could finish him off.
