I’m planning to make a huge command tank for apocalypse. It will be made from 3 Baneblade tracks glued together after each other, with a total length of 44,7 cm, and twice the breadth of a Baneblade, 20,6 cm. On the sides I’m planning to place a sponsor at the front with Heavy Flamers and Heavy Bolters on each side and 3-4 sponsors with Lascannon and Heavy Bolters, the last one pointing backwards. I’ll build 3 levels up, approximately 35 cm in height. The back walls will be made out of Manufactorum walls. The side walls and the front will be made out of windowed walls, either Basilica Administratum or Sanctum Imperialis walls. Inside these I’ll make a corridor on all of the levels with all covered walls from the Basilica Administratum or Sanctum Imperialis. On the 1st level I’ll place a Tremor Cannon placed in the front. The 2nd level will have 1-3 balconys from the Sanctum Imperialis with some weapons and troops on it. On the 3rd level I’ll make a command bridge with several officers on it. On the roof of the tank I’ll place a Volcano Cannon and 1-3 AA quad-gun emplacement from Aegis Defence Line. In the corridors and on command bridge I’ll wire some small lamps just because I’ve always wanted to wire some.

Some questions about the modeling. I don’t really know which windows I should use. Basilica Administratum windows are good looking but maybe they will be a little too big, window vise. Sanctum Imperialis windows are smaller and more decorated but maybe a little too small. Have anybody some opinions about these windows.

As for the weapons and armour. I’m think of 3-4 Void Shields. Don’t know about structure points, what should be sufficient for a tank 45x21x35 cm. The Tremor Cannon is meant to slow any major enemy forces closing in on it. AA quad-gun for air defense obviously. The biggest threat, in their opinion, for this tank is enemy titans so they placed the Volcano Cannon on top of it against Titans, it can only be used against Titans or units 60” away. The sponsors are used as close defense. I’m thinking about giving it an armour of 13/13/13, since the windows will become covered if/when the Void Shields fail and then the armour shouldn’t be too thick.

Since I don’t have the reload book with their strategic assets, I’m using the original Apocalypse book. Since it’s a mobile headquarters I was thinking of giving it the Careful Planning and Jammers strategic assets, and also giving it Supreme Headquarters, but it isn’t immobilized, it gives units within 12” from the tank all those special rules. Sine this is quite good I was thinking of if it’s destroyed but not explodes it will count as an objective.

As soon as I get some money I’ll order the tracks to make the base for this project.
What do you guys think?

Maybe change it to units within 6" as it is very big and will affect a lot of units...
It'll also be a MASSIVE target. (I put massive in caps just in case you didn't quite realise what i meant)

I think you're better off looking for an appropriate 1/35 scale tank to use as a foundation, not Baneblades. You'll be cutting them up anyway and it will be a hell of a lot cheaper.

Actually i think the Leviathan would be even bigger... though they do go into battles so rules would make sense.

Ive seen a very accurate one made out of 2 bane blade kits and a few manufactorums and Sanctums, only the DOOMSDAY CANNON was custom made (out of a plastic cup)

EDIT: Heres a pic of the BOLS one:
