i got a unit of 6 nobs with painboy, cybork bodies, accompanied by warboss with powerclaw, cybork body

would it be more beneficial to get an attack squig for the extra power claw attack on my boss OR waggh banner to get the +1 WS making combat vs space marines hit on 3+

Can you only afford one or the other?

Both are good, but just realize the Boss's Klaw attacks are at S10 so it's pretty damn good to have more of them.

If you're already spending this many points on the unit I'd go all out and get both. And upgrade the nobs some.

Based on what you are fielding, I'd opt for the Waagh Banner.

However, if you have another option (I'm assuming your Warboss is joining the Nobs), I'd get a Bosspole on your Warboss or a Nob for the Morale reroll.

The waaagh banner always trumphs over an extra attack

and, as the poster above said, a bosspole can really save your day but its better to put it on a nob than on the warboss since the nob cant be singled out like the warboss can

In a vacuum the Waaagh Banner is better that the attack Squig. It will grant the nobs a 16% better chance of hitting most of the time so it acts as a force multiplier.

Naked nobs should probably be replaced by boys

armoured nobs- not good
equipped nobs- good

Agreed, if you just cant lose something to gain others, the WAAGH! banner is best. All your nobs would be WS5, and thats just fantastic. Your basically rolling 2s or 3s on pretty much everything.


The problem I see with your nobs though, is they wont be doing anything other then die in CC. They have no power klaws? Why would you take that unit then? Nobs units should have 2-3 pk in them always, just having sluggas/choppas makes then a bit useless really. Yea theyll get alot of attacks, but everything with an armor save will save, and anything that has a poopy armor save will most likely go first. If it were me, Id take something else. nobs are good, but they are only really great when you can kit them out the way they should be.
Personally Id drop them and take more boyz w/nob/pk/bosspole. Oh yea speaking of, your boyz mobs need a bosspole in there as well. That reroll will save your ass more times then it wont.
