Hey guys.

Can psychic powers be cast from inside a tank with no fire points if it is not a 'shooting' attack?

e.g. Null Zone from inside a Razorback?

Can't seem to find anywhere specifying it in the rulebook sorry.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Yes; as to measurement of the area of effect you want to see page 66 of the BRB under "Embarking"

edit: I should clarify this a little more.

Yes, so long as the power in question does not require LOS.

This is my Rulebook. There are many Like it, but this one is mine. Without me, my rulebook is useless. Without my rulebook, I am useless.
Stop looking for buzz words and start reading the whole sentences.

So yes I can, and the distanced is measured from the hull (like all tank weapons)?

As opposed to firing from a fire point, where you actually use the fire point on the tank for measuring?

tank weapons (guns) are measured from the weapon not the hull

However yes you may measure from any part of the Hull for this

Yes, if you read the page on embarking it states this very very clearly.

As JD pointed out you dont fire Vehicle weaponry "from the hull", you fire it from the actual weapon.

Yeah I saw that bit, the only bit I cant find in the rule book is where it says models using fire points are measured from the fire point itself? As opposed to the hull?

Its in the rules for firepoints...the exception are open topped vehicles where embarked troops measure from the hull.

IIRC you can cast things like fortune on a unit that's embarked in a transport if the psyker is also inside the transport can;t you?

They also mention this in the errata FAQ that psychic powers that are shooting or require line of sight need a fire point. Otherwise they can be cast from a vehicle with or without a fire point.
