So I've been playin' warmahordes for a few months and decided it was time for a side game.
I saw these models at the LGS and fell in love with em, after talking to a guy that has played for a while i decided to give it a shot.
i bought the lady justice box (because the death marshals are made of pure badassery) and I've got em all painted... but i've yet to play a game.
So my question is, how does lady justice (and company) play?

Did you pick up the core rulebook yet? If not wait a few weeks for the new updated mini rulebook.

Early 2011, since they have stopped printing the original core rulebook and suppliers are out of them I take early 2011 to meen early to min january.
The new mini rulebook is just the rules, it lacks the fluff and model states of the bigger book. They are going to reprint the original book with the updated rules though.

The game looks great but I don't know anyone who plays locally. I would love to hear more of your experience with the game.

Hmm... didn't hear anything about the new rulebook and unfortunately i already picked up the core one.
So is it gonna be outdated in just a few weeks? or is the smaller one just a condensed version?

If you have the original rules and the errata/ FAQ then you will have the same rule set that will be included in the new mini book and pdf. The original book isnt obsolete since Wyrd hasnt actually made a V2.0 of the rules they are simply adding in the changes. With that said, the mini rulebook is going to be just the rules and encounters, the free pdf is going to be just the rules.

Cool cool.
So I've gathered that Lady J just destroys in melee and the death marshals are pretty solid all around but what should i add?
I was thinking the crazy executioner guy with the big claws, he looked like another solid beatstick, and he has that same ability that Lady J has that gets rid of corpse counters so i could really keep the field clear of em with that combo and pretty well destroy ressurectionists.
Also, whats a good totem for her?

I suggest that you buy what you like the look of.
Then tailor your schemes to meet the models you use, so you make them more effective.
Unless you are playing in some hyper-competitive area, all the options have a fighting chance.
A friend uses Lady Justice with the Executioner quite well.
Me, I want to run a Guild Guard only force. Waiting on the Henchman SF guy. Can't remember his name.

I was kinda meh.. on the judge, he's alright, but not a 7 point model imho
the executioner was great, he just waded into a big group of little terror tots and he was pretty well immortal getting back all his wounds every turn.
and again in another game against bayou goblins, soaked up a bunch of shooting then killed a pig and *poof* full health, hes is a great tank.
Another guy i found to be really solid is Samuel Hopkins, his shooting is outstanding, it's safe to assume anything important left within 10" of him is just counted as dead
I used Nino, he was great and pretty much an auto-include now.

A game against Gremlins should not a used as an indication of the greatness of a model... When successfully playing a So'mer Teeth force the player should be killing more of his own gremlins then his opponant. I did the math for a So'mer Teeth force that I played in a tournement with once I took; So'mer Teeth, 1 Giant Masquito, 1 Bayou Gremlin, 2 Hog Whisperers and two Warpigs at 35 points. By the end of the match my Masquitos ended up costing me .25 SS a peice and my Bayou Gremlins cost me .2 SS a peice, I had killed or sacrificed more then double the SS's that my opponant did, I still lost. So'mer Teeth is a hard master and a hard force to play right now. Gremlins are bttter at killing each other then they are at killing other things, Its a fun force to play though, and it looks amazing on the field.
The undisputed master of non-master shooting right now is the convict gunslinger, if your looking to add some cheap ranged combat to your force I highly recommend adding one. Automatically Appended Next Post:
Its been out for awhile, at this point its probably alittle dated. I'd recommend hopping over to the Wyrd forums and trying to find a Henchmen that is local to you and asking him to give you a demo. Its a great game.

Other considerations to round out your guild group would be Guild Guard, Austringer, or Santiago.
The Executioner's worth really depends on if you can get him into combat. He's on the slow side and if you're playing against a crew with a lot of movement tricks he might not get his big belly where he needs to be. Having figures with Obey goes a long way with him.

So after 15(ish) games I've gotten a good hold on the rules and two pretty good lists that just need a little tweaking. But I've got a question, defending against stitched togethers and that gamble your life ability... I kill a day dream and he pops out an ST within 6", second shot does some damage to it (if he didn't just summon into melee) but either way the ST is not going to die this turn... Opponents turn, activates ST gamble your life on Death Marshal, if it goes off and he can cheat for severe my marshal is dead, and do it again.... What if it backfires and he takes damage? ...he reactivates later and does it two more times. The way it reads is doesn't use the combat total, it just causes a WP dual and flips 3/4/7 (or something like that) on the loser that CAN be cheated. It's the best little 5 point suicide bomb I've ever seen. And as an added bonus say the dreamer is out in front of gun line and i want to kill him to summon LCB and try to shoot him to death before anything irreparable happens..... buuuut one of these little abominations is next to him, I shoot the dreamer ST takes the hit, dies (maybe) gains reactivation but IS NOT removed until the start of the closing phase, he's still there, and more importantly he is still a legal target for the rest of my line... and he can't actually be killed... making the dreamer effectively invincible to shooting this turn... so does anyone have a good strategy to defend against em? Or do you just grit your teeth, kill em and take the many hits they will deliver?

I know this is kind of an old thread, but I just wanted to let you know, in case you haven't figured it out already, but the damage flip from Gamble Your Life is modified by the duel result just like any normal attack duel, so it can only be cheated when there are no negative twists. This will probably help cut down on the Severe damage flips, but the Stitched Together are definitely strong models, their only draw back is their short range.
