Hi,

I'm going to have another stab at learning to blend. I have skaven model with a nice cloak to work on. Im thinking for the scheme that the cloak is going to be a green a his skin is going to be grey, but more of a bluish grey as this should hopfully compliment the green.

But for the cloak Im thinking of dining the shading in blue rather then a darker shade of green as I am hoping that it will compliment the skin tones and also give the cloak a nice colour shiffting effect.

So i'm wondering if anyone has tried this before and if it is likely to work. Also would it be better to us tercoise as my base colour rather then green then use blend blue and yellows and greens to get the final look.?

So yeah any thoughts idea's will be big help.

Dark green! Derp. JK Brown could be used too but i'd recomend starting at an extremely dark green 50/50 black green and working up from there.

Do a search on colour wheels. It's usually a good idea to use a dark tone on the opposite side of the wheel for shading. So for green, you can try dark reddish browns (scorched brown or dark flesh).

I might give this a go. I had looked at the colour wheel allready which is what gave me the idea of blue, being as they they are next to each other. But a redish brown sounds interesting. Just as long as it still works with the blue/grey skin tone.

Am i right in thinking that adding a shade of red to my green base colour will darken it up nicely as well?
