Random topic to keep me entertained on this snow day while I work on some various projects here. What random bitz do you get the most varied use out of?

I've got two. First are the Carnifex Crushing Claws. I've used these on three different figs, for four different purposes, none of which are as Crushing Claws. Used them as legs, hands, short/thick arms, and as a random nubby/smashy claw.

Second, as a collective whole, are the various spiky bitz from the Trygon kit. Neither I nor the roommate put the spikes on the critters we made out of Trygons, so there are a ton of them around. They've got a very good variety of shapes and sizes which makes them great for a bunch of uses. My favorite use for them are as fingers in clawed hands, both for other `Nid creations as well as on my Cryx Helljacks. They're also good for when you need a random little spike somewhere.

The humble Skull. This has been used for heads, knee pads, Backpack vents, power weapons and so on. I even plan on building a bone giant made entirely of skulls of various sizes. In the same vein, the Thunder hammer Terminator Arm. it forms the basis for alot of my weapon conversions. Hormagaunt Scything talon too. I've used it as the Tusked Mandibles for my Carnifex, a CCW for my CSM, Lightning Claw blades, and assorted other uses (even replacing a tail once with it).

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

When I'm editing alot, you know I have a gakload of homework to (not) do.
