Im picking this game up tomorrow (i should have just asked for it ) and ive heard some pretty awesome stuff about it but I wanna know what the rest of DakkaDakka thinks, I love sniping so im going to try Recon first. Any tips i should know about?

Ive also seen a lot of people post some pretty intense stories from their own multiplayer moments, if you have some of those that would be great fun to share!

If you wanna play a game with myself and a couple buddies who also have the game ill have it for xbox

Pretty fun (PC player here) unless your team absolutely is getting stomped. Also your games may be limited due to the amount of map packs they released and Vietnam if you choose not to buy those (I'm too darn thifty)

Funny thing actually I barely snipe as a recon although I'll give the M95 a shot. Mainly run lightweight+thompson. Really fun to just spray and pray then slap on C4 on unsuspecting tanks. Plus I can get up close to use my motion sensors. Plenty of xp gain there. I think the hardest class to level up for items is actually assault since you have to rely on either killing, objectives, or suppling. Other classes rack up xp way faster. So dont just go for the kills, support your team with ammo, heals, repairs, and sensors. Only thing I really hate are idiots who do not know how to drive helicopters

I've played it for 110 hrs and still enjoy it. I can recommend the Vietnam expansion as well. It's basically the same game, but the weapons and map design make for a more intense experience.

The tips:

Remember that the bullets travel and fall, so always aim above the head and ahead of them if your target is moving.

A lot of objectives can be taken out by simply destroying the buidling they are in (no need for plant). This might seem obvious to some, but a lot of people don't understand how easily some bases can be taken.

On Port Valdez, 3 objectives can be taken out by mortar strikes and tanks from afar.

On Arica Harbor, in the beginning, you can take a tank (with improved optics) and nuke one of the M-COM stations from your home base. It might take you some practise shots to get your aim right though. If done right, you will have destroyed it within a minute or so.
