I've been in the hobby since 2007, but recently have been reffered to dakka dakka by a good friend of mine. I got into the hobby as an eldar player,(They are in the process of being sold), moved on to Tau, and then realized that the marines were for me about a year ago. The most recent version of my astartes marine is below
-Marneus Calgar w/ Armour of Antilochus
-Librarian: Epistolary, Terminator Armor w/ Storm Bolter.
Powers: Vortex of Doom & Might of Ancients
-Terminators x5: Assault Cannon
- Scouts x5: Sgt. Telion, 3 Sniper Rifles, Heavy Bolter
-3 tac squads numbering 10 each: all with plasma rifles and heavy bolters
-Venerable Dreadnaught w/ 2 twin linked autocannons + extra armor
-Predator: Chronus and sponson lascannons
My philosophy as a wargamer is infantry > vehicles ( excluding transports).

I must say, nice place you guys got here. Very helpful, and to explain Calgar+Librarian+Termies survived an assault from a full blood angels assault squad attack. No wounds surprisingly. And this is right after coming withing half-an inch of deepstriking into a mountain. Needless to say, i won the game
