I saw these in person the other day, and given that people were discussing making wire trees for treemen / treekin, I thought I'd share it here. These pics are from the artist's website, the ones I saw I snapped a few pics of but my phone is currently dead...

Of course, there are also the excellent Raging Heroes models:

Both options (assuming the "wall trees" from the wire artist, not the ones on bases) are cheaper than the GW ones. Definitely something to consider!!!

The wire trees are rather large, but then trees should be- the smallest size would definitely work for a treeman, or perhaps you could use it for a large treekin, and the next size up for a treeman.

Beats the current GW efforts. Treekin are amongst their ugliest models.

Yup even uglier than LM cold ones, or the old monke... erm skaven.

Agreed about the GW ones, although adding some of that mossy material to even those helps their look a Lot!

True, but adding some of that mossy material or another suitably foliage-like material makes the RH ones that much nicer too. Speaking of which, I recently received the Tree Warriors and Syl Iriah, keep a look out for the start of a painting log.

Good point! And awesome that you've received the tree warriors, would love to see pics!

Also... how was that 8 - 9 inches of snow in Raleigh over Christmas weekend? Somehow just north of D.C. we got none, but Philly got a foot and had to cancel their NFL game...

The snow was beautiful! Traffic was a little crazy that morning but I didn't go out. The snow stuck around for a couple days but they cleared the roads pretty quickly and it's all but gone now. I wish it would snow like that more often!

Regarding the request for pics, I only have them in pieces right now. Somehow I've managed to misplace my zap-a-gap (preferred method of metal adhesive) but I could at least get you shots of those.

Zap-a-gap, hmmmm.... I've been planning to use gorilla-brand super glue on a bunch of metal models I got recently, but I have heard great things about both.

Glad you enjoyed the snow... AND that it melted quickly, doesn't usually go away so fast up here!

How did you not see it before that?
