This is just a test 1500 points list I put together for local friendly games at a gaming club I frequent. As getting my Tau for Christmas and not being able to practice or get used to them at all, i dont expect this list to be very good, and comments and criticism would be very appreciated. Thank you all

Pretty solid, pretty straightforward. The only thing I can think of is if your opponent takes out your two hammerheads, you basically sunk for tank hunting. I would take a couple of fusion blasters on some suits... Maybe one per squad or make all of them in one squad tank hunters.

Both should have MTs to move Combat Speed and shoot all guns. Also, for two extra dice, and score of points saved, down-grade SMS to the BCs. You won't miss the slightly longer range and with LoS-blocking Area-Terrain gone from 5e, you won't miss the SMS's non-LoS rule.

I think *all* FireKnives is a bit much, and that to get to know some different loadouts, be sure to magnetize your Crisis Suit weapon mounts so you can tweak to Helios or FireStorm or Deathrain as needed.

For friendly play, the list is just fine.

I agree that some of your crisis suits need fusion blasters , even if you twin-link them and have a suicide unit for artillery and such

So if i give the two Hammerheads BC s instead of the SMS, give them both MT, and give 1 squad of suits TL Fusions and a Targeting array for both suits, and then I have 25 points spare for stuff lol. Would that perform better?

I agree with all said before the only thing I would add is use 1 crisis squad with fusion blaster plasmarifle HW multi-tracker and targetting array
They are really good at taking out hard stuff and can kill tanks quite good

Yes, much.

1. You've added more dice to your arsenal.
2. The tanks moving Combat speed means when assaulted (it eventually happens) a 4+ is needed to hit 'em.
3. 25 points?

BTW: I don't agree with TLFB suits deep striking for a suicide run. Throwing a suit away, or any unit, is just a bad tactic IMHO.

You have two Railheads and the piranhas for hitting tanks from far away. Not a lot at 1500, but definitely enough for friendly play.
