We just got done playing a 10000 pt game, (10k each side, didn't matter breakdown of army).

I had the regular SM codex and the DA codex, along with the imperial guard

Enemy was necron and orks.

I brought a large variety of stuff.

Orks brought just a Bully Boys squads with a total of 100 or so nobz, and I think 30-40 were meganobz.

Necrons where just parias and a necron lord.

The game was going ok, the orks and necrons had to attack my base, which had a wall around it that they also had to knock done.

Once the Necron lord came in, he came in from the side and was in my base (although not the keep). He also had Ghazkull just outside the wall.

Well, I used a Psyker battle squad to lower his lord's leadership to 2 (they were safe inside a stormlord), and then the grand master of librarians mind worm from the DA codex to have him take a leadership test. Of course he failed and had to remove all the necrons (phase out!), and after that he gave up. Not enough nobz where left to push cause I really hadn't lost much at that point, where over half of his army was then destroyed.

So if you want to kill an impossible to kill model that has a leadership test, use the DA grand librarian and the psyker battle squad. I agree it's cheesy, but then again it only works on one model a turn, so you won't do much damage to the army as a whole, basically it's just a super character killer that are normally hard to kill.
