Okay, so lets say i assault a unit with a Tactical Squad, the assault is resolved and neither side flees so we remain locked in combat. can i then Assault the same squad with assault Marines and use the Tactical Marines attacks again in this "Double Assault"? just something i was thinking about doing, was wondering if it was legal....
Thanks in advance!

It doesn't work for one simple reason. All assault moves have to be made before any close combat attacks are made. This means if you assault and roll attacks with your tactical squad, you are forfeiting the ability to charge with the assault squad (or any other squad into a different close combat) as the time to declare and make charge movement has already passed.

As Lone Dragoon said.

Go back to page 33 of the rulebook and follow the process.

Step 1 is to move ALL units which are going to assault that turn. Step 2 is to move defending models to react. Step 3 is to actually fight.

If a unit has already fought this turn, that was step 3, and it's too late for any units to go back to step 1.

OIC! so weve been playing it wrong, we resolved each assault individually, then we move on to the next unit and do their assault. thanks!
