Cilithan makes good points. In a Khorne list built around Bloodletters and Daemon Princes (as yours is), you will need to drop fairly close to an enemy to bring your army into play (i.e., to be able to charge and start killing stuff). A second wave composed entirely of Bloodletters will either:
have to drop too close to the enemy and absorb waves of incoming firepower -- something Bloodletters are not designed to do;
or drop so far away from the enemy that he will be able to dictate the flow of battle, since Bloodletters are very slow once they hit the ground.
In sum, if your alternate wave comes first, it will be very difficult to play your Bloodletters effectively. They will struggle to kill stuff, struggle to earn their points back, struggle to manipulate your opponent's maneuvering.
I personally don't balance my waves evenly. Like you, I prefer to make my primary wave very scary (and relatively durable). But then, I don't play mono-Khorne. If I did, I would look for options in the alternate wave that would be able to land relatively close to the enemy and survive. For that reason, I would probably try to field two units of Bloodcrushers, 4 strong, with wound allocation shenanigan possibilities. And I'd put my icon (I only field 1 or at most 2 -- they're so expensive) in my Bloodcrusher units.
