In your opinion's what has been the topic most debated in You make da call. In either the 40k or Fantasy.

I can think of two for 40k but fantasy I draw a blank on.

Doom of Malantai

Jaws of the Worl Wolf

Have been the most popular for 2010, it may be becasue of how early they came out in 2010. What does Dakka think?

"Also fyi for everyone I only brought up this topic as a joke. I thought it would be funny to see what everyone had issues with not to incite more arguments."

Edited to include above disclaimer for peace.

In fantasy, for some time it was whether or not Bretonnians got a rank bonus / could negate ranks of the enemy when in lance formation.

But GW has been awesome updating the FAQs since the release of 8th edition, and that got clarified in the FAQ. In fact, a lot of fantasy questions have been addressed in FAQ updates!

So a current one doesn't come to mind...

Well it also depends on how horribly the rule is written, i didnt even know there was a debate over the mycetic spore (rule says it fires every shooting phase, the debate is that it doesent specify opponents shooting phase so it means only yours. Kinda agree with that, but doesent change the fact its horribly written).

Doom was debated to death but it hitting embarked units made sense, they faq'd it for simplicity so that you couldent.

Does FRFSRF affect Hotshots?

That wasn't debated much because it's obvious. If we're talking about questions that keep coming up but shouldn't then "do termies get +1A for a stormbolter since they're holding it in one hand?"

I'm also getting tired of referring people to P3 for the definition of a unit.

The one I've personally heard the most debate about is whether or not Vulkan's Chapter Tactics have an effect on allied Sisters of Battle.

That was never pretty.

That's funny to hear about, first time I think it's come to my attention.

Also fyi for everyone I only brought up this topic as a joke. I thought it would be funny to see what everyone had issues with not to incite more arguments.

Can you bunch up models when you cast Lash of Submission on them?

Are terminators wearing terminator armor?

Do two interspersed units generate cover saves for each other?

Some say yes, and some say no.

There is no verdict, that's why its so fun! Anyway, I'm pretty sure it was played in accordance with the wording that says "all" of the weapons in question are twin-linked and master-crafted. One guy was pissy, the other was happy. As it should be.

Quite frankly it has to be Deffrollas. Not just because of the horrible rule ambiguity and read-arounds to say yes or no, but also because of the impact in-game. Deffrollas put the worst anti-armor codex in the game outside of the assault phase up there closer to the top. Not only did Orks get reliable anti armor, they got reliable anti armor in the movement phase, before any decisions had to be made about whether to disembark.

Gate of Infinity has always been surrounded by issues, as well as well as anything having to do with models off of the table/in reserves trying to come onto the table while movement is blocked or if the entire model will not fit.

For 40k, I'd say it's WBB in one form or another.
