There are a lot of toys, probably unnecessary toys unless you are really low on models and this is to fill in those points.

The CCS has pretty much one of every option when it is best used as a smaller vet squad. I would ditch the medic, standard, and the vox. Maybe carapace depending on whether you want 4 plasma or meltaguns. No idea though why there is a multimelta in the unit. Vets do best with special weapons much like the command squad. Drop the doctrines and vox and get either 3 meltas or plasmas. Chimera doesnt need much or anything really, baseline vehicle is already decent and IIRC it cannot have a MM. Multilaser and Hull Heavy Flamer is probably the best choice. Bane Wolves are anti infantry so I dont see much of a point in MM's unless for anti tank. I would also switch them to hellhounds, more flexible

It depends on what to expand to though, what are you looking for in an IG army? If going mech, then a bunch more chimeras and vet squads are probably best along with a few HS choices like manticores. airborn requires a few valks/vendettas with vet cargo to drop off. Armored needs tanks so LM or Demos make good all purpose tools with executioners making good scare units.

Heh, they can now

As kenshin notes, a lot would be added to this list by dropping marginally useful upgrades in favor of more models, and more useful upgrades like guns.

Careful with the Bane Wolf. While they may be fast, they also can be big targets. My research has shown theyre better at repulsing attacks than leading them.

he always talks about meltaguns and plasmas, anything else is rubbish...also: dozer blade does nothing useful imo, and extra armor is even more useless. camo netting is pointless on transports, they dont hide, i rarely even put it on my artillery that stays still until it blows up...ur CCS seems distracted, voxxes are dumb imo, if you dont have a lot of spare weapons at hand, at least use grenade launchers, they are cheap and havea S6 shot... i would swap the bane wolves for something else...(being a artillery fetish person, i would go for basilisks) but thats yyour call.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
just an example: heres my 750 list:
TOTAL: 747/750

CCS 75
laspistol
Lasgun
lasgun
lascannon

Vet 190
3 plasma chimera w/ hvy stub

Vet 175
3 melta chimera w/ hvy stub

Leman russ 150
Manticore 160

Unless you are plannning on bunching your army together to issue orders I don't see the point in the vox. as the vets are in chimeras i'm guessing your not doing that.

If you strip out all the junk, your list becomes this:

CCS

Vets with demo
- chimera with hull heavy flamer

Vets

for a grand total of 285 points. The rest of everything was either doing very little to actually help your army (like the medic, the regimental standard, etc), was counterproductive (multimelta on a banewolf, voxes in a squad riding in a chimera, etc.), or just blatantly worthless (like the carapace armor, the voxes, and the banewolves.

What would I do to make a mechvet list at 750 points? Well, it would look something more like this:

CCS 3x melta, meltabombs
- chimera, hull heavy flamer

Vets with 3x plasma
- chimera, hull heavy flamer
Vets with 3x plasma
- chimera, hull heavy flamer
Vets with 3x plasma
- chimera, hull heavy flamer

Scout Sentinel
- Lascannon
Scout Sentinel
- Lascannon

Which costs the same number of points, but triples your killing power, while doubling your durability by providing twice as many units.

I have read the list and well i hope you don't mind if I build my army based on that ?? the only bit i don't much like are the sentinels.

wooa dont diss sentinels. They are 50 points for something spouting a lascannon that has scout and the armour value means the majority of troops cant even destroy them. A space marine in combat or with a bolter needs to roll two 6's in a row to imobilise a sentinel.

I threw the sentinels in there because I couldn't think of a good way to add some useful vehicles for ~100 points. I suppose you could put in a hydra and then find a way to usefully spend 25 more points, or something. The list above wasn't designed to be iron clad, so much as an example of how one can do a mech list with more oomph.
