Was down at my shop looking for red primer and I saw they had redone the Chaos Havocs box. Still same metal weapons and arms but you get plastic marines AND now you get an aspiring champion sprue with icon gubbons. All for 33$!!!! Alot better than the previous 45!

Hmm sounds interesting. Although on their site its $40 (store discount?)

And I think instead of "New" you should rename the title to "Repackaged"

store price was 33, discounted to 29. But yeah, I see your point in the term repackaged though I thought 'NEW' was warranted due to aspiring champion sprue and plastic marine parts

Well, said parts aren't new. There's nothing new, as such, inside the box. Therefore, I'd add 'Re-Packaged' into the title, to avoid confusion, or getting people's hopes up for brand new minis!

But thanks all the same for the heads-up!

I was always hoping that plastics would come, but sadly a mere repackage, with extra's while nice, isn't as nice.

This isn't new at all. This happened shortly before Chaos Daemons came out. I remember thinking this exact same thing, only to be disappointed that it was a repackaging.

The part about the price being reduced to $33 US on the repackaged Havocs is correct. I checked the sticker at my local GW today.

That's not a good idea....oy, GW. Plastic marines can't handle the metal weapon arms, trust me.

Sort of interesting though. I'm surprised that that sprue hasn't been available on the bits section yet.

The bodies in the boxed Havocs have been plastic. When I bought mine when it was first released in summer 2003 the bodies were plastic. The single models in blisters had metal bodies due to the limited space in a blister, but the box set always had a plastic sprue, probably because there is room for it in the boxed set and it's cheaper for GW.
