I hated putting together and painting this model, and I don't even like the model But here it is for c&c anyway
I know the eyes are rubbish, I'm going to try again at some point.

At first glance I wasn't super crazy about the paint scheme but the more I look at it the more it grows on me. I really like the way you've given it a rusted look. The blue patina really sells the model imo

Not a massive fan of the Tomb Spyder model, but that's a nice paint job all the same.

The FW Tomb Stalker really puts this model to shame, but good job on the painting. Personally preferred your Destroyer to your Lord on Destroyer body, because I like the metal with patina better that the darker blue.

I think I'm going to do some statues for store terrain for the FLGS, and I'm liking the aged brass look you've been using for these. What particular shades of green and brass did you use? Green first then drybrushed brass?

Question, just curious but how come you aren't putting all of these models into the same thread? Woulden't it be easier to to have a project log of sorts where you could have all of your models?

Your scheme is great. Got a pic of the back part of the carapace?

Like it!

Spruced up an otherwise potentially boring paint scheme... Boltgun metal can only go so far! But really improved on the norm, so kudos.

T'zeentch is the Changer of Ways, and win or lose, it is all but a part of the greater game, in which he is the king, and mortals are but pawns....

Yeah the Tomb Stalker is very nice, although I wonder if they released it now because I'm guessing you might be able to build something similar with the new Spider kit (assuming the rumours of a new Spider kit are true).

It's a simple technique (thankfully). Basecoat black, drybrush Boltgun, Drybrush Dwarf Bronze, wash with watered down Hawk Turquoise, then this model had another light drybrush of Bronze over the top as I'd gone a bit overboard with the Turquoise.

I've never done a blog/log before, so it didn't occur to me

I have to say that I am a fan of your beat up blue paint scheme. The only critique I have is that perhaps you could make the eyes a contrasting color? Perhaps green or red?

I agree about the model, its a terrible concept, but your paint job looks great! I like the weathered/aged metal on the figure, nice work!

I wasn't too overly joyed by the paintjob - at first. But i don't believe everything has to be bright and shiny to earn some points.

It actually looks pretty good. It looks the way i imagine a machine that just dug it's way up from the ground - the way a Necron is supposed to look; Dusty/muddy and rusty!

Nice work man!
