Hey i was hoping to set up some new objective markers for my Blood Angel army. Anyone have any ideas for some blood angel or at least space marine objectives? I have heard of people using the Space Marine Casualties as markers. I was also thinking maybe the dead space marine or chalice from Space Hulk!

Any suggestions for my new army? So what do you use as objectives, post up a pic or just tell us!

Flags and banners are the best. They're plentiful on any SM tactical and Terminator sprue. in DoW they use those for capturing Strategic points, so it's appropriate to use those as objectives. Something chapter specific would also be good (like you said the Chalice would be good for Blood Ravens or Blood Angels). Some sprues came with their own objective marker-esque pieces. If I remember correctly, the Terminator Sprue came with a Teleport Homer that would be perfect for an objective.

Here;s a WiP shot of a marker I made of a lonely Sergeant.

Hope that gives some inspiration.

i like the idea but i would be too afraid that he would get mixed in with troops and moved around. Has anyone bought the 40k terrain bag? it comes with barrels and barricades etc, worth it?

There was an old old article about how to convert the 4th edition Kill Team rules into Space Hulk using 40k as a basis. The article also said to use painted bases (that were painted with green glowing crosshairs on them) as blips, representing a potential brood of Genestealers. Those would require zero conversion work, and I think would look rather appropriate as Objective markers, since it looks like something like a blip on the minimap of any RTS game.
