If you are like me and think
40k is an expensive hobby but always looking for a way to save a buck so you can spend it on whats really important...MODELS. That is why I am starting a Cheap A$$es guide to
40k!
I thought I would start off with an nice and easy range template and condition markers.
This is the GF9 range template that runs for about 7 buck.
This is mine that i made out of some foam core that was just sitting around my house. It can be made out of anything you like just make sure your measurements are spot on so you don't get accused of cheating. There is really no directions no how to make it, the picture says it all. During my last game I had a buddy tell me that I would not be allowed to use this during tournament play because its not a official tool, but they way I look at it the one made by GF9 is not a
GW product and is unofficial tool as well and would also need to be measured for accuracy before the game starts.
Here are the GF9 vehicle marks that run for 10 bucks and you will also need to buy the Infantry marks for another 10 bucks.
Here are mine, again made from things i just has sitting around the house. These markers are soooo easy to make! Just go to this web site
http://rocketshipgames.com/accessories/imperial-commands/ and hit print. I just happen to had a laminator but you could just glue them to some card board or some foam core.
There you have it, 2 nice and easy ways to save a buck! If Dakka Dakka likes my little cheap a$$ guides I will go on to show how to make a army case for 10 bucks, a display board for another 10 bucks (less if you have some of the mats already) and a game table for 60.
Thanks Dakka Dakka and tell me what you think.
