I applaud you for making a drop pod list, I have made one for kicks as a break from the other lists/armies I play. One thing to realize is that you'll have a major lack of mobility with your troops on the table but if you are cool with that then rock on. Logan is a crap ton of points at this point range. If you look at some of the other armies out there, you could face an ork list with 60 troops and 3 battlewagons in 1250 point game. I get that Logan is the major motivator for the troops choices you are running but if you look at a cheaper HQ option you can add in another group of Grey Hunters. Just thoughts from what I have seen in play with Loganwings, good luck.

The big thing about drop pods is being able to drop empty pods to either stop the first wave from being put in to a slaughter OR making your first wave slaughter he enemy with empty pods landing from units who deploy anyway.

I often give units like long fangs or wolf guard who will all be joined to packs drop pods in order to increase the killing power in the drop pod assault. since the long fangs will deploy and the wolf guard pack leaders may not even be in thier own pod at all.. it makes for the drop pod assault using the toughest stuff your army has. in the 2000 point example i posted you can drop pod assault the grey hunters and wolf guard while the long fangs and plasma armed grey hunters deploy normal. njal can either deploy or pod in with the termies. if played right, it can be quite devastating.

Your grey hunter packs need a special weapon or two.

two long fang packs should suffice. i would consider giving each long fang pack 3missile launchers and 2 lascannons.

Also, you can only have a dread with heavy flamer if the heavy flamer is built into a close combat arm I believe... so you can't have the multimelta, missile launcher AND a heavy flamer.
You could:
--Missile Launcher, CCW, Heavy Flamer.
--OR Multimelta, CCW, Heavy Flamer.

If you are not taking more than one special weapon with your grey hunters I advise taking wolf guard pack leaders with power fists. they will bump up your leadership to 9 and give you more powerfist attacks than a grey hunter with a powerfist.

grey hunters are better off with mark of the wulfen and a wolf guard w/power fist.

If you only have 2 grey hunter units and you dont't know what to do with the third wolf guard, you can give him terminator armour and a cyclone missile launcher to attach to a long fang unit.

List Updated at the Top.

I dropped a unit of long fangs, cut out the Dread because i realized i was way over points and I added in a Wolf Lord. I still want to keep the Drop pod army, I think it would be a lot of fun to play. hope this looks a bit better than what i started with.
